“Yum!”
Reviewed August 18, 2012

Just got back from Bawarchi! Yum! Have eaten there many times (normally the buffet) and LOVE it! Have taken several other family and friends there, and almost all of THEM love it! People who haven't tried Indian food would love the food there the first time they try it. People who haven't often say "I don't like HOT or spicy food or curry. Most Indian food is NOT hot, not spicy in any negative sense, and their curries are nothing like Thai curries, Indian curries are more like gravies, and they're delicious, taste sensations! No more expensive than typical family restaurants or buffets, and WAY better and more interesting. The daily lunch buffet is the way to go for beginners. Once you're tuned in you can order from the menu. What they need is a food truck or a canopy-type booth at craft sales, the Highland games, fairs, festivals, Heritage Village, etc. so more people get to try it, and their business will take off like a rocket! I feel sorry for anybody who's never had good Indian food, once you do, you're hooked! Best rice you ever ate!

“We left full and happy!”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

We live on Florida's east coast where we don't have much Indian food, but have previously lived in Boston, DC and London so have had good Indian before...and this was good! The prices were very reasonable, the Korma and Tikka Masala were very good, Korma complex and Masala with some kick! My kids could not get enough of the Mulligatawny soup and we had to order more of it. If we lived closer we'd go back - it was a great vacation dinner!

“We Will Be Back Soon!”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

This was our first visit but won't be our last. Started with the tomato soup and the mulligatauny soup and both were outstanding. Followed up with the Lamb Biriani and Chicken Curry, both were the best we have had in Florida. Good sized portions and spiced just how you ask for it (asked for medium and came with just enough spice to start your nose running). The service also was fantastic, there when you need it but not too pushy. If you are looking for something different and are open to exciting your taste buds, this is your spot.

“Good Indian”
Reviewed April 20, 2012 via mobile

I'm a European curry buff, this is the best yet!!!, asked for what I 'm used to and it was altered to my taste. Service a+, tikka a treat, normally take a tikka, sauce and a bread, curry sauce a bit drier, the staff went out their way to make it work, 5 star.....good experience and the place is spotless. Would change the name to Star of India or spice the existing name up a bit...........
Enjoy !!!!

“DELICIOUS, FRIENDLY, QUIET AND ENJOYABLE”
Reviewed October 31, 2011

We are regulars, have been for several years, and have only had very enjoyable experiences. The chef will go out of his way to tailor dishes to your liking, even preparing special orders. He delights in introducing newcomers to Indian food by interviewing them as to their favorite flavors. The butter chicken is a guaranteed favorite, loved by all we have seen sample it. There are Indian musical instruments on display to add to the decor. The menu is quite broad, prices are average and the food delicious.
