This is my favorite park to take my girlfriend and just enjoy a quiet walk. It has a great little dog park, lots of boardwalk trails, and TONS of wildlife. We've seen dozens of deer there, rabbits, turtles, raccoon, opossums, owls, hawks, gators, fish...For being a park surrounded by people it is a little oasis of nature. It runs along the southeast corner of Lake Tarpon in north Pinellas county Florida. It has a first class boat ramp and tons of parking for cars & trailers. I can't say enough good things about it. This is the way parks should be...

Such a great park! Trees overhead to shield you from the sun, the scents of nature, boardwalk trails that take you through the forest or alongside Lake Tarpon, deer and alligator spotting, a dog park, and ball field.

This park has it all!

All of the Pinellas County Parks are beautiful, but this one is especially so. Rent the pavilions in the back - by the lake. It's gorgeous...just stay away from the baby alligators; where there is a baby alligator, there is a momma alligator close by! ;)

We're lucky to have this park 3 miles from home.... we'll stop by and unwind here often. The Tower is one our favorite spots... you can get a good glimpse of a lot of the lake from up there. Bring your binoculars... you never know what you might observe. In the past few weeks we saw a 12 foot gator casually swimming out in the lake... and we observed an Anhinga spearing a nice size fish off one of the piers.
