We stayed 3 nights in a 1 bedroom. Pros - resort is huge, golf course, beach, restaurants, spa are all on site which is convenient. Cons- resort is showing its age, not the cleanest, if you want your room cleaned daily, I suggest you call each morning as you leave otherwise when you get back late afternoon to relax you will not come back to a clean room, when we tried to eat at the restaurants on site on our first night we were told they were booked but only a few tables were full? We made reservations the following nights and food was good, but expensive, spa is nice, but not relaxing as its next to the gym so as you are in their "relaxation room" you get to listen to morning Zumba or whatever class is going on. Services are fair for price. The resort is comprised of owners and guests like us. The owners are snotty as they don't like guests being here was our impression. The pools do not have enough chairs for the capacity of people staying at the resort, so go to pool early if you want a chair. If we got a cheap deal we would probably stay again, but would not pay $300+ again as this is certainly no Ritz. If screaming kids bother you don't come they are running all over unsupervised. This place needs updating.

Room Tip: Stay in the main building and high up or you will have to drive to use any of the amenities. Would n...

The resort is in a beautiful location with average rooms and service. I had someone help me with my bags and show me around the room but not much information was provided about the amenities of the resort. The room had a nice view of the beach area and a table and two chairs in the balcony. (BTW, I had a heck of a time trying to open the storm doors!). The bed and pillows were comfortable but the linens were just average. The sitting area was nice with a small sofa and some chairs, however, the t.v.'s are older and small. The bathroom had a separate shower/bath tub and his and hers sinks. For some reason the room lacked a full-length mirror.

Overall this was an average resort and I would only recommend it for a long-weekend if the price was right.

This review pains me to say anything bad. It’s really is a beautiful place. It’s just lacking. If you are looking for a place with not a lot of action, quite, no extra touches, (Like a Ritz or JW Marriot) a lot of walking, mediocre food, no adult pool, but beautiful then this is the place for you. Read on:
We stayed at Hammock Beach Resort because my husband had a grain convention here. The place is beautiful. When we arrived it had just stopped raining and I mean it was a down pour. The entrance to the hotel was flooded with about 2 inches of rain. I went in to check in and my husband was surprised no one came out to greet him and help with the luggage for around 10 minutes even though we saw four bell men. I read the posts before we arrived and I e-mail bboyer@hammockbeach.com to let her know my concerns and please make sure our room is sufficient. I was very pleased with our room. Yes the T.V.’s are old but the room was really nice as well as the hotel grounds. We took a walk on the beach the first day. The beach has different sand, it is a coral color and it is easy to walk on. (pretty) Beware! they warn you about the rip tides at the entrance to the ocean. Then decided to have breakfast at the Atlantic Grille. We were given our seat and menu’s but no one came to our table for at least 20 minutes so we left. I called and told the front desk when we got to the pool they said they would have the manager call me. I never received a phone call. But I was asked by the front desk when I called for the code to the internet if someone had called from the Atlantic Grill. We then looked for beach chairs at the pool and decided to wait for lunch. We ate early at 11:00 and the service at the pool was very good. They claim they have an adult’s only section but we did not see one. The pool for the children looked really fun and they seem to have a lot of activities going on. When you arrive at the pool you have to show your card to your room. Then they give you a bracelet (like they would at a water park or all inclusive resort) we ask them why they do this and they said in case someone comes off the street and tries to use the pool. WHAT? Let me tell you, you are in the middle of nowhere here. You are basically tied to this hotel. You really do not have a choice of offsite restaurants, attractions, malls, ECT that are close by. They do however have choices of restaurants on property. If you look at my other posts I really try to find the best in every place. But I have to agree with some of the things that need to be changed here. We have stayed at many Ritz or JW Marriott type hotels and this hotel is not close to their caliber. But you are paying the high price. I would say this is what upsets people. One of the couples in our group got a room over the Atlantic Grille and they said it really small and out dated. It was ocean front so decided to stay. They opened the door and night and listen to the sound of the waves. The nearest attraction was a 15 minute ride. It was a Dolphin encounter, we stopped to check it out and the prices were good and I think this would be a good thing for children to do. We also went to St. Augustine (around 30 minute ride). What fun! If you like history take the trolley ride. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions. jayme@ghostlymanor.com

We were so thrilled to have gotten a great rate at this beautiful resort. Check in was a bit slow as there was only two people on duty and there was a slight line, but they were very accommodating. Our one room suite was really nice. We travel a lot and this was an exceptional room with a nice view of the ocean. Dinner was at Delfino's, one of the restaurants on the property. It was enjoyable with great service and decent food. We ate just when they opened, so there was hardly anyone else in the place.

All was great until 2:30 that night when we were harshly awakened by flashing lights and a blaring sirens and a message to This Is A Security Alert, Evacuate the Building Now, Do Not Use The Elevators. Turns out there was someone smoking in the elevator and it set off the alarms. OK, understandable. However, when it happened again at 6:30 that morning because someone burned the toast they were cooking in their room kitchenette, that was too much. Apparently, this happens all the time. What was going to be a several day stay turned into a one-night stay.

Beautiful place, just know that you may not get a great night sleep.

Room Tip: All the one bedroom suites look alike but the three bedrooms are all different so make sure you see...

Thank you for providing feedback on your recent stay at Hammock Beach. We are pleased to hear that your accommodations and dining experience with us were satisfactory.
Although a fire alarm activating can be a nuisance, they are in place for our guest’s safety and will sound when there is a potential fire danger within the resort. It is our practice to find the source of the alarm and relay information back to our guests as quickly as possible to minimize any inconvenience. We apologize that your stay was cut short, and hope you will return to Hammock Beach in the future.

We stayed at Hammock Beach Bay in March in a suite. The suite was large, well decorated and had a full kitchen with an awesome view of the sea.

The overall resort is not brand new, however, they provide top line services and full facilities. This includes generous fitness center and great class schedule (Tip: Make sure you take a class with Walter - the best instructor I've ever had!)

Sadly, the weather was cool when we where there, so we can't comment on the pools etc. but we did take walks on the glorious beach.

The tennis courts, while a drive from the resort, were excellent with under ground watered clay courts. This was $20 a day (all day) however the Tennis pro explained that they would do deals for extended stays.

Overall - great facitlity in Florida and would return.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a sea view room.

I stayed in Hammmock Beach resort while visiting Palm Coast. It is a real treasure. Beautiful grounds, big, really nicely furnished suits, even small kitchenette with mini stove, fridge, utensils, cofee maker and microwave. The kitchen was elegantly hidden behind what seemed to be a closet but was equipped with anything you would need to make a breakfast, lunch or even a dinner. Local supermarket is less than 1 mile drive.
The best part of my experience was proximity to the endless, absolutely gorgeous beach. Every room in main building has an ocean view. Seems that any room has some sort of ocean view, partial or full. I am not a golf player, but guests who are, found themself on a really beautiful golf course. I would definitely come back there.

Room Tip: Choose higer floor and main building for the best view

This review covers the whole property though our rooms were in the nearby Yacht Harbor Village (about three miles away and on the Intracoastal not the oceanfront).

We expected to be let down because of the distance from the main resort and beach but it was never a problem; a five-minute drive took us to the Hammock Beach garage which was steps from the pool complex.

Yacht Harbor rooms were nice, similar to many villa rentals in Florida: plenty of TVs, laundry in the room, full kitchen, big bedrooms and a nice porch, in this case overlooking the pool and the Intracoastal. The tennis center for Hammock Beach is here too so if you are into tennis, the courts and amenities are very nice. We played one afternoon and had the place to ourselves. The front of the resort is great for looking at the nice yachts moored there.

Hammock Beach itself stood out for a few reasons:

-Awesome pool complex: The pools were nicely heated. The lower-level pool was perfect for kids, shallow with waterfalls to swim under. The upper pools offered a great place for adults to swim and a sandy family pool if you did not want to walk to the beach (it's a decent walk). The lazy river was fun but cold, apparently the only unheated pool. And there is a fun, three-story high slide to ride.

-Good food by the pool: it's the only place we ate at the resort and enjoyed our meals there. Basic pub food but done well. There were other restaurants but we did not try them.

-Nice, empty beach: The water was warm in April, wavy and fun. There is a beach attendant to provide towels and chairs too.

-Golf: Lots of it though I'm not a golfer.

The Palm Cost area, while a little hidden, is nice enough. The resort is over a toll bridge; on the other side are basic amenities: CVS, grocery store, restaurants, etc. The area is a good spot to explore north (St. Augustine) or south (Daytona).

This is owned by the same company that own Innisbrook in Tampa and Reunion in Orlando.

We loved it and I would readily go back.
