BRING BUG SPRAY! Make sure you use bug spray before even stepping out of the car as we got tons of mosquitoe bites just by standing in the parking lot waiting to spray ourselves. It is mosquitoes gallore, you will thank me later! With that said, this place is absolutely beautiful. If you are coming from st augustine down A1A, the gardens are to your right while the coquina rock formations beach is to your left. Parking is $5 for vehicles and $2 for pedestrians and bikers. You dont have to pay twice to visit both places as long as you have your car receipt hanging on your rearview mirror. There are lots of flowers, butterflies and birds to look at all around the garden. The history of this place is amazing and so are the sights. Very peaceful and relaxing to stroll around the garden listening to the water flowing. Stop by the gift shop, they have tons of cute items at great prices that help maintain the park.
The beach on the other side was very empty and you have to walk about quarter of a mile to your left to admire the rock formations, definitely not something found in other Florida beaches. Very interesting and fun to look at all the little creatures living around them. This is definitely a place worth visiting if you are in the are!

Love the sea and shore to the east and the beautiful flower gardens to the west of A1A. Get to the ocean side early after high tide to explore the pink sands, coquina rocks, and ocean critters in the tide pools. Be sure to take your camera.

Beautiful gardens but our favorite part is the wild coquina-rock beach. A beautiful place any season.

A large Florida state park off of A1A, it is a spectacular display of Florida flowers and trees displayed in a formal garden.

Beautiful area south of St. Augustine - there is much to do. Great for just walking or relaxing on the beach!
