Description: Fine Dining Northern Italian Restaurant Family Owner And Operated

As you approach this restaurant located at the end of a strip mall you might be skeptical that it is a fine dining establishment but look beyond the façade and you enter a truly wonderful dining experience. When you enter you will find quite the crowd so make sure you have a reservation. From the greeting at the door to out exit the service was excellent. If you like Italian wines they have a great selection and moderately priced. My only negatives would be for an Italian restaurant where most give very generous servings this one was a little light. We had a fairly small serving of pasta ($20) with meat sauce (and we ordered the larger size) although it was some of the best pasta and sauce we have had in recent memory, all homemade. The veal scaloppini was also excellent but at $35 could have included a vegetable and starch (other then the bread served for the table).

All in all I do recommend this restaurant just knowing it is somewhat overpriced which is the only reason I did not rate this as excellent.

The new dining room has all the warmth of the old, but with more space to enjoy great conversation. The trademark hospitality makes every visit a special occasion. And then the food arrives! Magnifico! Balanced flavors, inventive and subtle use of spices, beautiful presentation. This is a Family that knows the real tastes and textures of Italy, and has found a way to make them come alive for their guests!

This is a wonderful place for a special occasion celebration! My husband and I come here for our anniversary dinner every year. If you appreciate high quality food, wine and service then you will enjoy a meal here. My husband and I often select from the specials for the appetizer and they are always delicious. The taglierini with asparagus and prosciutto is heavenly (they gladly split the pasta dish onto separate plates for us). We almost always each get a veal chop entree because no one in the area does them better than Claretta's (they also have beef and seafood). I recommend the Trio Claretta for dessert if you want to sample a few different things - its plenty for a couple to share and they have the absolute best Tiramisu!

If you want authentic northern Italian cuisine, you will find it at Ristorante Claretta. Service is excellent with knowledgeable, well-trained staff. The menu is diverse with many choices of hand-made pastas and entrees, all specialties of Northern Italy. We have tried almost every dish, and enjoyed each one! Chef Francesco never misses a beat. Many ingredients, including cheeses and fish, are flown in from Italy a couple of times a week. Make sure you have the tiramisu!
We highly recommend Claretta's!
