Palm Beach Shores Resort & Vacation Villas

This is my first trip to this Resort. The resort is extremly clean. The rooms were spacious. I liked that there were 2 showers in the bathroom and 2 sinks! The restaurant was nice. The food was amazing! The Tiki bar made tasty drinks and the staff were all extremly friendly and helpful during our stay. This was a girl trip for us.Total relaxation. A chance to get away from it all. The resort has a average size pool. I was hoping it would of been a bit larger being a swimmer. The hot tub was great. The resort was close to the beach, which was nice. The only thing that bothered me was the fact you had to pay to use the lounge chairs on the beach! I thought that was a bit much! You go to a nice resort, you would think the beach chairs would of been included! I have never been to a place that you had to pay to use a chair? Since we loved the beach we had no choice but to pay. Also, we had no idea about the "flag" warnings. We went swimming, not knowing there were sharks in the water! Another tourist told us the meaning of the flags and what the colors meant. I didnt realize It was up to myself to figure out the beach rules? It would of been nice for some heads up and info about renting the beach chairs pryer to going on the beach and some info on the flag colors. Maybe the resort could have a little insert placed in your welcoming package to tell us. Besides all of that, everything was really beautiful and it was nice that it was not the type of place that was loud and a big party zone. It was a great place to relax and enjoy the peace of being on vacation. The resort had many fun things planned for the guests. They cater to the seniors which is nice. If your looking for a nice relaxing place to vacation in Florida with out all the busy tourist attractions this is the place! They have a nice selection of stores and restaurants around the area within walking distance. The beach is great to go on a long walks and if your a shell collector you will find lots of interesting sea treasures! It was a really wonderful place, and worth staying! I look forward to returning some day!

Room Tip: We liked facing the pool area and beach! Such beauty to look at! Better than staring into a parking...

First impressions are lasting and we’re thrilled that we succeeded in creating a positive vacation experience for you at Palm Beach Shores Resort. We love hearing about our guest’s experiences because it gives us an opportunity to improve our service. We have forwarded your suggestion regarding beach flag warnings to the resort and will look into ways to implement them. To keep our owner maintenance fees down a private beach vendor is available to supply guests with safety-approved equipment at a charge if the guests chooses. Guests may also use their own beach equipment in a designated area. TripAdvisor reviews are vital to our reader’s decision-making when choosing a vacation destination and we truly appreciate that you took the time to voice your opinion. The next time you want a front row seat to the Atlantic Ocean we hope that you think of us and return.

My wife & I exchanged for this resot mainly because it was oceanfront. We got a good room on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool & the ocean. The resort was a little dated, but the management has done a good job keeping it clean & neat. The staff was very friendly, but I do agree with the other reviews that they seem to steer you toward the time share presentation. It seemed like everyday they were bringing people in from other resort to get the tour. It seemed like a factory. Also the parking fees & safe fee...is it Really necessary? Overall we had a good time, but then again, a vacation is what you make of it!

We appreciate your recommendation of our resort but we’re sorry that we didn’t meet all of your expectations. Our many amenities and beautiful oceanfront beach are a few of the reasons that Vacation Village Resorts has chosen Palm Beach Shores Resort as a prime location to showcase the benefits of Vacation Ownership. Many who come as guests to Palm Beach Shores Resort leave as a member of our family of timeshare owners. We understand your dismay concerning our amenity policies, but these charges actually help keep the costs of owner maintenance fees down. It’s also important to note that complimentary valet service is included with the parking fee. Thank you for writing and we hope that we may have an opportunity to share our hospitality with you again the next time you desire a relaxing beach getaway.

The Beach - Sometimes the best thing going for PBSR is the location. This was our 4th time here, the last was in 2007, and it may very well be the last. On the plus side - Rooms were clean, bathroom spacious. It is nice to have the mid-week cleaning and daily clean towels and trash removal, which we only took advantage of every other day. On the negative side, they've added some new furnishings, but not changes all, which gives a real mis-match to the room ... 3 different shades or brown/greens and three different patterns in the three pieces of furniture in the small living/dining area that do not compliment each other at all. Mandatory parking fees ($6/day) and safe use ($1/day) are the first time in 10 years of time-share vacations that we have run into these extra fees. One star hotels offer these amenities and generally include breakfast! The tours offered seemed over-priced for what was offered. They want to come across five stars as the Ritz down the street and fall short of the mark. I booked 2 weeks one year in advance, own at a "sister resort", am a platinum member of RCI - what a ripoff - and called ahead of time to request a pool view room. Yes, my location could have been worse - it could have been overlooking the island instead - we actually could see and hear the ocean overlooking the north side over top the volleyball courts; and yes, my location could have been better for the reasons stated above. In addition, the time share sales force is aggressive, foreceful, and intense. Do NOT believe the front desk when they tell you that you'll be out of there in 1.5 hours - more like 3 or 4 hours of your vacation time that you'll never get back. Overall - being in Florida in January could not have been better. Staying at Palm Beach Shores - you may want to shop around.

Room Tip: YOU can't choose your room, someone else will do that for you. They will accept your "requ...

Thank you for sharing the highlights of your Palm Beach trip with us. We are certainly disappointed to read that our property did not meet your expectations during your most recent stay. It is our priority to provide all of our guests with exceptional service and accommodations and we apologize that we fell short of these expectations during your vacation. We apologize if you found the fees at Palm Beach Shores Resort excessive, but if you shop around you’ll find they are quite comparative to other beachfront resorts in Singer Island. We hope you reconsider and allow us another opportunity to host your next visit to the Florida coast so that we can deliver the type of vacation experience that you and others travelers expect of all Vacation Village Resort properties.

To escape the cold of January in New Jersey we picked up a week at this resort from a charity auction. The place was nice, a bit old, but it had a pool and a beach and sunshine. There was plenty of on-site parking and lots of staff. You could hardly open a door for yourself. And, they were friendly and nice. The one bedroom suite had a balcony overlooking the pool. There was a TV in each room and a fully equipped kitchen. Every day there were activities to attend and music by the pool. The Tiki Bar and Grill served both by the pool and indoors in the dining room. The food was good with a special every day. This resort is located in a very quiet neighborhood but within walking distance of several restaurants. We are not usually vacation club people but this was an interesting experience. The only drawback were the salepeople for the vacation club. they were all over the place. We did attend a sales meeting (for a $100 gift card), they left us alone after that.

Room Tip: The rooms with an ocean view are nice but get dark early with the sun setting in the west.

We chose this resort because its location - oceanfront! Waking up with beautiful sunrise was unforgettable moment of our stay there. Family friendly, oceanfront timeshare resort. We cooked our meal most of our stays in the suites which was very clean and spacious. Some nights we had some appetizers and cocktails at tiki bar downstairs. Some nights we went to City Place which was approx.20 min drive from the resort. By the pool, there are some birds in the outdoor cages you get to see, and one of them is very cute parrot. Kids enjoyed watching her greeting hello to people! Lots of fun activities like fitness class, bingo, games, movie at the swimming pool so we let our kids enjoy on their own so we're able to relax! Besides the beach activities, we went to Lion Country Safari and City Place. Internet was only available at the lobby area.

Room Tip: Our room was on the top floor facing ocean with the L shaped huge balcony. Perfect size for two adul...

This was our 2nd stay here within 3 yrs. Looks like we had some new furniture which was nice. But there was a major ant problem in the kitchen. Although I did not want it sprayed while i was in the room, the ants were all over the kitchen counters and the kitchen table. We just kept all our food bagged and on the tv unit. I did not have an ant problem last time. I think the parking charge of $6 a night and the $1/night for a safety dep box is ridiculous too.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We apologize for the ant problem you experienced. If we had been aware of the issue during your stay we would’ve gladly had the room treated while you were out to avoid any discomfort. We understand if some of our fees may seem excessive but you’ll find them quite comparable to other beachfront resorts in the exclusive Singer Island area. Only approximately 10% of RCI’s participating resorts have been awarded a Gold Crown status. This award recognizes quality and is given based on positive comment cards received by members who have visited the resort on exchange. Palm Beach Shores Resort is proud to be a recipient of this award and we have continued to maintain this status. We’re sorry that we failed to meet all of your expectations but hope that you consider returning so that we can provide you with a great vacation experience that so many of our guests have enjoyed.

We enjoyed a previous visit 2 years ago so much we decided to return for our 50th anniversary. It's still a beautiful, comfortable resort. We had a north-facing ocean view room with a spectacular view and nice size balcony. Kitchen has a full refrigerator, 2-burner cooktop, micro-convection oven & dishwasher, and there are plenty of restaurants and groceries nearby. Large bath with separate tub & shower. Beautiful decor, daily towel exchange and trash pickup. The staff is helpful. There is an extra charge for valet parking and the safe. Lots of activities scheduled if you are interested. We overlooked the pool on our last trip-also a nice view. The pool area is beautiful. Plan to return again and again using our RCI points.
