Great steaks & service. Pricey - but at least the vegetables come with your entre. Traditional and comfortable decor . Unlike many newer restaurants, you could actually carry on a conversation.

First and foremost, I thought the food was great. When I first saw the menu online I thought it would be the typical a la carte steak with very few side options (blue cheese topping, asparagus and mushrooms are the only things on the menu). In fact, with your meal they bring smashed potatoes, snap peas, creamed corn, tomatoes and spring onions. All of it was very tasty. As for entrees, everyone at my table loved their steaks. My NY Strip was great. Well seasoned, and well cooked (med-rare). The rest of the table all had filet and all were very happy. Two of the party had a crab cake added and they said they were very good (I didn't try them). For an appetizer we had a big stack of onion rings. Killer, fabulous, awesome. Wedge salads were crisp and enormous.

Part of the service was great. Our waiter was very patient with explaining how the kitchen cooks the food and how to order the steak for doneness. The manager (or sommelier) was great in explaining the wine list and giving suggestions. Everyone was polite and friendly.

However, service was very slow. Very. We spent a lot of time sitting and waiting with dishes in front of us. We also had long waits between apps, salad and entree. The prices here are up there--$35+ for entrees, around $10 for apps and salads. 4 entrees, a bottle of wine and tip was nearly $400. Service should be more prompt and more professional.

Another issue is common in a lot of places in South Florida. Restaurants charge like a high end restaurant, have high end food and decor, but allow any type of dress in the place. You shouldn't see ball caps, t shirts or cut offs in a "nicer" restaurant. I saw all three. I know it is hard to say "No" to paying customers, but unless 3 forks wants to be the most expensive road house in town, asking for business casual or at least a collared shirt isn't a lot to require. This is a nice place--keep it respectable.

Speed up the service a bit and watch the dress code and this place is a 4 star at least.
