My husband had been dying to try this restaurant for a while, so on a recent rainy weekend we decided to go for an early dinner. My teenage son, who never wants to go out with us, gave us an emphatic "yes" when we told him where we were going, having heard tons of good things about it from his friends.
It was fabulous, if not cheap. If you don't eat meat, you can still have a great meal just dining on the salad bar items, which are numerous and varied and continuously restocked. The lobster bisque was great, the cheese were wonderful, the shrimp and smoked fish were tasty.
But the real star is the multitude of meats brought to the table to be sampled. There was bacon wrapped filet mignon, various steaks and beef dishes, and my son's and my favorite, the parmesan crusted pork. You need to go hungry to really appreciate--and get your money's worth--at this restaurant. The cheese bread is addictive!! Also, leave room for dessert, especially the bananas foster cake!
