Dining style: Casual Elegant
Cross street: PGA Blvd
Description: Healthy, inexpensive, everyday fare is what's on the menu at the new Prosecco Cafe in Palm Beach Gardens, the latest venture from Avi Sekerel, also proprietor of Saquella Cafe in Boca Raton. As befitting its name after Italy's iconic sparkling wine, Prosecco puts a more upscale, European Cafe Bistro spin on things, with granite-topped tables, leather chairs and variety of artwork. There's indoor and outdoor seating for 140, plus beer and wine (with a full bar to come in the future). In keeping with the restaurant's healthful orientation, it's a "no fry zone" and "No Processed Food" at breakfast, lunch, dinner, Tapas & Prosecco Bar where Among featured dishes are a Tuscan omelet with pesto, brie and caramelized onions; roast beef sandwiches from in-house roasted beef; pistachio-crusted grouper with mango salsa, and seared Scottish salmon with spinach and red potatoes, and for sweet endings, a variety of desserts, which are made daily by the in house Pastry Chef.

“DESSERT!!!”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

This place is a MUST for dessert! I know they also service some lunch and dinner, and if you're enjoying that, then you MUST save room for dessert! Try their brownies and macaroons. Definitely worth the trip!

“Slippery Slope”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

Hadn't visited Prosecco Cafe in a while, but I remembered it as a great place for breakfast, so we went there again this morning. I won't comment on the food, as it is still OK, but the service there is getting terrible. I didn't see one table around me where customers didn't have some kind of problem: slow service, wrong order, missing items,... You would think a good manager would spot problems and resolve them quickly, but she didn't seem to notice that things were very wrong. A shame, really. I used to love this place, and if they don't fix their service at the onset of the tourist season, they are on a slippery slope.

“A gem of an Italian cafe”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

We love this place! It is charming. It has a great location with easy access and parking. The bakery is unbelievably delicious. The espresso, cappuccino and other coffee drinks are authentic Italian. Whether you go for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack, you will never go wrong with this choice of restaurant. Once you try it, you will be back!

“Short Rib Small Plate is divine!”
Reviewed October 19, 2012 via mobile

I live very close to this restaurant and I have eaten here many times. In fact, I gave it a rave review more than a year ago. Since that time, I've been somewhat put off by the low quality of service, but the food was always good.
I returned for dinner on Wednesday night and was really impressed/ in love with the food and the service. I had the short rib "small plate" on a potato waffle with julienned onions and red peppers in a sticky balsamic reduction. Oh my word! It was a beautiful thing- honestly could have been my whole dinner- definitely 7 oz. of meat. Not the best "by the glass" wine list, but the bottle list looked good.
As always, the quality of the food is excellent, always playful and fresh. The service, which has been an issue for me in the past, was professional and solicitous on Wednesday night. I'm jones ing for the short rib 2 days later!!! Yum. Again.
