The level of service and sense of urgency that the staff at PGA provide far exceeds other resorts and hotels. You will not be dissapointed.

The Champion course with "the Bear Trap" will bring you pleasantly to your knees, and you'll beg for more. Five courses and a "to-die-for" pro Shop.

Easy to get there from West Palm Beach airport.

Unbelievable pool!

PGA had beautiful grounds and the staff were amazing! Several reviews did not have good experience with staff, but I found them up to tropicl all-inclusive caliber. The rooms were average...not worth the cost. We had a conference rate of $220/nt, but I think they go for around $450/nt, which is WAY overpriced. The resort fee didn't bother me as the internet access was fast and reliable. But, the prices for everything else were a bit steep. A continental breakfast of oatmeal and fruit is $15.00 + 6% tax and 18% gratuity additional. A bottle of soda is $4+ and a bottle of water is $5.
I'm really not sure how they can get away with the charges...
Many people left the conference to stay at less expensive hotels down the road... definately something to consider.

The PGA was a HUGE disappointment. The hotel staff were rude, and not accommodating at all. We had to change rooms four times during our two day stay before we finally got a room with a decent view and a king bed. The hotel is not architecturally designed well, so they have several rooms with a view of a wall or a dark alleyway. It is NOT four or five star quality, and not worth the money.

By the way, there is a $20 per room per day "resort fee" and 11.5% additional tax, that is not included in your nightly stay. Make sure you know what you will be charged upfront, don't get ripped off like we did because nobody told us!

We took a girl's spa weekend trip for a friend's birthday and stayed at the PGA National Resort and Spa in April 2009. First impression was that the grounds were beautiful with the greenest grass I have ever seen. Check in was fast and the staff was very friendly but once in our room we noticed that the beds (supposed to be two doubles) were very small. We ended up requesting two cots so we could all sleep in comfort. The room itself was large and there was a seperate sink outside the bathroom that made getting ready very easy.

We had spa appointments within an hour of arriving and loved that we could get to the spa without walking back through the lobby. There was a seperate door leading outside and to the spa. The spa was very nice with lots of comfy waiting areas and polite staff. Facials and body wraps were both awesome but my friend had the reflexology pedicure and said the person had no clue where her pressure points were. We loved the spa pools and the fact that there were no children anywhere near them. Even though we didn't try the food at the pool side cafe it looked delicious.

As for entertainment we hit the Downtown area, which was really close to the hotel, and had dinner at the Yardhouse. Great food, over 100 different beers and a nice outdoor dining area. This shopping center also had a lot of great stores and a really cute ice cream place. Another night we went to a new Greek place in another shopping center near the hotel that was recommended by some of the spa staff. We only had dessert, which was very good, but the belly dancers were fun to watch and it seemed like the whole place was dancing on the tables. Great place to go later at night for some fun.

If you get back to the hotel before they close at 1:00 a.m. the main bar in the lobby always seemed to be busy and the bartenders where happy to suggest some fun places to go for out of towners.
