“Spectacular Florida hotel with a luxury touch”
Reviewed July 21, 2014

I have been to this hotel more than fifteen times. The location is ideal as you have access to the pools , which I don't prefer and an amazing beach. It is a luxury hotel but not annoying or wannabe luxury. This place has a class. The bedrooms and the service is high end and very FL. The food is exceptional good! Breakfast here is phenomenal. Always I see families couples celebrities gay couples etc This is one of its delights, enjoy

Room Tip: the rooms vary ask for details. I always get beach view

My wife and I were married on October 20th 2013. We immediately began our honeymoon which was at this gem. I had never been but my family had been twice before without me. Let me begin with WOW. I am a history buff and seeing this Italian style mansion when you turn on the drive is a bit mesmerizing. The staff is the friendliest you'll find anywhere. We had an incredible time and ate and drank like royalty. We had a blast and will be going back for anniversaries to come. I've heard that at times it can be crowded, but when we went it seemed like we had the whole resort to ourselves. It is expensive, but very worth it. We will be back!

Room Tip: We had a beach view room and were there during the of season. Quiet and wonderful.

My family (five of us) stayed for a week from the 6thjuly.. Our daily experience was second to none with the staff, food, manicured surroundings and available facilities for what is an excellent 5star hotel and resort.
We daily relaxed and ate watching the World Cup under the fantastic supervision of Laura, a true asset of the hotel!
I have never been provoked before to write a report on trip advisor before despite the excellent holidays we have had in the past. I decided to write this for one reason, to preserve the excellent reputation of the hotel and 99.99% of he staff and for future guests of your establishment.
On Sunday 13th July, 3 'louts' turned up at pool1 area, already drunk, already loud and from the start oblivious to other guests. They proceeded to talk loudly, brashly and quite honestly rudely /crudely at a level that was 2/3 times louder than needed-to the point when the unshaven member noted he could hear them from he bar as he returned from the loo... They were ignorant even to that caution, grading the staff they had seen from 1-10, exclaiming they had pee'ed in the pool and continuing in a behaviour becoming of 'trust fund kids' As it is unlikely they could afford the club themselves. This loutish behaviour continued for 2 hours, clients of our hotel all looked at each other waiting for the staff to calm the situation... Whilst that pool isn't the child's pool it still has 8+ kids who were watching and bemused by the most 'nightclub' of language and behaviour.....
They didn't care or were cautioned by the pool staff, one young lady continued to serve them achol throughout and engaged in chitchat.... Beng a total dis-service to the other 99.99% of staff...
All the guests round the pool were looking at each other in disgust at this behaviour.... One mentioned not everyone had tried the new BMW... As we would say complete ignorant idiots and if I owned the hotel I would bar them for ever/
I hope you kick them out of he club/hotel..... To their parents they are a disgrace and should never be allowed back in.... Unless of course you would like to become a club and no a hotel! And then you can accept that type of member!

It is not acceptable and I hope you agree to the point where real action is taken!

My husband and I stayed at The Breakers July 3 through the 6th. We found the grounds and building beautiful, the employees polite and helpful, the room was small but clean. Our room was on floor 2 and the view overlooked a roof. That was disappointing, but since we did not spend much time in there not the end of the world. The most disappointing factor was hearing all the noise coming from the hall, and both surrounding rooms. In one room I could hear a male voice conversing with someone and in the other room a woman was coughing quite a lot. We had all of our meals there and everything was wonderful and yes, to echo other reviewers; expensive. The hotel did put on a nice 4th of July event on the golf course with chairs to view fireworks and several things to entertain children.

Loved this hotel. Very family friendly and excellent service. The rooms are really spacious and very very comfortable. One of the best piña coladas I have had from the circle bar. Only criticism the 20% service charge added to everything.

Don't get me wrong, the Breakers is very nice and the customer service is by far the best of any hotel I've ever stayed at. However, bring your big wallet when you go, for a salad for lunch is $29, as is a burger, etc... They add an automatic 20% gratuity for everything, lunch, spa, etc... which we really liked because the service is great and there's not figuring out what tip to leave. The room was amazing, even had a TV in the bathroom mirror, however the bed was way too soft and it killed both of our backs. The spa is beautiful and they have fresh fruit and flavored waters out for you while you wait or after your treatment if you want to just sit around and relax. There's not much of a beach out front, so if the beach is your thing, this one won't be. All in all it's a great place, but I'd say it's more of an older folks place (you know the blue bloods that have all of the money), but it was nice to have experienced it for 3 nights, which was the perfect amount of time there and we hardly saw any kids at all, so I'm glad we didn't take our 2 teenagers, they would have been bored out of their minds!

Room Tip: We had room 2182, which was a "semi-oceanfront", but we had to look past a lot of stuff to...

Stayed here for three nights while looking for property in the area. This hotel is an architectural gem. Definitely a close rival to many of the grand old hotels of Europe. Service was excellent throughout our stay. Our standard king was large enough and the bathroom was ok. However we would have preferred to have a writing desk rather than a glass table in the bedroom. The buffet breakfast was included in a room rate. At $35 that seems to be a good deal. However we looked at the a la carte breakfast menu and noticed that the food offered was significantly different (e.g. pork sausages on the menu, but chicken sausages at the buffet). Most items at the buffet were lukewarm at best. Next time we will get a room rate that does not include the buffet breakfast as it certainly is not worth $35. We ate in the bar one evening and really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We ate late one afternoon in the Seafood Bar and were disappointed in the food. They had two attempts at getting my wife's burger cooked to the correct temperature and failed both times. That was very unexpected but at least the manager stopped by and apologized for the error and deducted it from the check. It was the same time as the USA World Cup match was on so maybe the cooks had their eye on the TV instead of the grill. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and look forward to returning again. I almost forgot that we also ate at the Italian restaurant. We went early and it was full of supervised children who all looked like they were having a great time. This is an excellent hotel for families as well as couples.
