“Exceptional service for an exceptional stay”
Reviewed July 1, 2010

My wife and I have stayed numerous times at the Chesterfield and absolutely love it. The service is truly exceptional- from the valet to the front desk to the restaurant and bar, everyone has always been wonderful. The hotel is nicely situated and a great, great spot if you need a hotel in the Palm Beach area. Beautiful, quiet pool area too has also enhanced our stay there. The restaurant lounge area is a hoot on Friday and Saturday nights- the place to be....

my stay was perfect. the staff was attentive and friendly. My room had a king bed, free internet and free bottles of water. Was in town for work, but i had time to walk to a great beach and also catch a movie at a cool downtown area. Alll and all not one comlpaint.

I love this place. So very quiet, comfortable, and charming. Everyone that works there is very nice and helpful. You are greeted upon check in with free valet service, a glass of water or sherry, and a smile. I also received a free upgrade to a larger room. I had afternoon tea in their charming library, which was very good. I then went down to the pool and relaxed until sundown. Everything at this property is small and boutique like, but everything is also very clean and it looks as if they have done some renovations. I also felt very safe here, I was traveling alone and had dinner at their restaurant, which by the way, the food is excellent. Also a great location! Rooms were small, but very nicely appointed and lovely comfy bed linens. I also never heard anything while sleeping all night...very quiet. On a side note, if you are looking for a place with lots of young people, you will not find it here. I was totally fine with that, as I was looking for a quiet stay. Most people that come to the Chesterfield for dinner/dancing are in the over 60 crowd. And yes, the jelly beans and chocolate chip cookies are great!

My mom lives in Palm Beach and my husband and I always stay at the Chesterfield when we come to visit her. The people who work there act like gracious hosts. The rooms are small, but nicely furnished, with lovely amenities including jelly beans in the room, and home made chocolate chip cookies and apples in the lobby for anyone who needs a snack. The Leopard Lounge is lovely for an after dinner drink. All in all, we see no reason to ever stay anywhere else.

We found the Chesterfield to be lovely oasis in Palm Beach. Elegant decor and fine service. Enjoyed our cuisine in the Leopard Room restaurant. The piano bar music was a special treat. Rooms are a bit undersized, particularly the baths but are nicely appointed and well cared for. Overall, a hotel well worth the visit.

Precious hotel with striped awnings, heavy rugs and dark furnishings. There's a library and little outside courtyard, where you arrive. Quaint hotel with small rooms but pretty and romantic. Attentive staff..concierge was fab. A bit offbeat but fun. Have stayed at the Breakers which is beautiful, the Ritz, which is wonderful....this hotel is so very european and sweet. Nice change. Quiet, private and oh so elegant. The leopard dining room is fun too.

This is a wonderful English country hotel somehow located in Palm Beach. My husband and I liked it very well because it had all the things we care about - very clean rooms, good public spaces (two libraries with free internet access, a pool in an inside courtyard so that even when it's quite windy, it's very good for sunning and swimming, helpful staff, (the chief cooked the fish my husband caught so we could have it for dinner) and a great location..within easy walking distance of Worth Street, etc. but also reasonable walking distance of West Palm Beach. There is a very human scale about the whole thing.

But, and perhaps this is the reason not all the reviews are five star, it is an English country hotel. So if you want huge rooms,a full business center, over the top finishes, etc. this place is not for you.
