The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and well presented. The rooms a bit small from the normal yet very british classic decorated. Tea time and other classic British amenities def the out of the normal hotel experience. Waking distance to Worth Ave and beaches. the Place to Stay in Palm Beach Without the fuss of other High Class hotels from the area.

This hotel came recommended from a friend so my wife and decided to stay here...the favorable rate was also attractive. The hotel decor is dated, but has a charm to it...my problem was the staff, the pricing, and the room service. The staff seemed more bothered by my presence than happy to have us as guests. We ordered room service at 11:30, and all that was available was a turkey or ham sandwich...cold. We asked for chips, and we were directed to go to the EMPLOYEE BREAK ROOM VENDING MACHINE!!! I ordered two vodka/water's at the bar and it was $52. I asked for water, and the staff will happily deliver a bottled water for $9 per bottle...$9 a bottle!!! I've stayed at many hotels of all caliber, and this was one of the worst in regards to value. My wife and I would have dismissed the cheesy decor of leopard prints with reds, blacks and golds if the service was on par. Would recommend against The Chesterfield.

We've arrived at the Chesterfield almost by accident. We've gone to Palm Beach after our plan changed and we didn't have a hotel to stay at. So we drove a bit around, using our guide book suggestions we've been to few hotels but we didn't like them or there weren't space so we ended up in the Chesterfield. The staff was excellent and friendly, entertainment and shows were organized during the day and in the evening. The restaurant was nice and the food was very good. With a taxi we could easily get to the center of the town in few minutes. The room we got was a bit small, but still comfortable and clean. Perfect for a romantic vacation!

We had a great time at the Chesterfield. It was full of character. It is definately not a hotel for someone who wants the sterile, chain hotel. Every member of the staff was considerate. The hotel was full of character and we really felt like we dsicovered something unique and special. We will definately come back. The location is great and we were not interested in shopping. There is a terrific mall "City Place" withn a few minutes that has movie theatres and lots of interesting restaraunts.

We had three days there while we were attending a wedding at the Breaker's. We are so happy that we stayed at the Chesterfield rather than the Breaker's. It was an intimate spot and the people at the front desk and concierge were terrific! We would surley stay at the Chesterfield again if we are ever back in the area.
TIP: If you need to get around the Palm Beach area try the HOP...a free, door-to-door dispatch electric car service that is a fun way of getting around downtown and to the beaches. They work for tips and are a wealth of information. You can book them in advance or simply call when you are reaady to go.

My fiancé and I spent three days / two nights at the Chesterfield. From the time we crossed the bridge into beautiful Palm Beach to the day we departed we could not have been happier with our selection of hotel. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. It was obvious that they care and appreciate their guests. The location is superb with only a two block walk to Worth Ave and a very short drive or taxi to City Place and clubs. Beaches or just around the corner. The hotel was clean, quiet and stylish. The courtyard and pool areas are filled with lush tropical foliage. Our room was perfect if not a bit small (but one must keep in mind the hotel was built in the 1920's), but we found it well furnished and very comfortable. Every staff member greeted us with a warm smile and always asked if there was anything we needed to make our stay more pleasant. The Chesterfield felt like home. We will be making this our hotel of choice for every visit to Palm Beach.

If status quo is what you look for in a hotel, stay at The Breakers, but if you truly want to be treated like an valued and important guest, stay at the Chesterfield.

The small, boutique-type hotel is in a lovely residential area, surrounded by lovely homes and hedgerows. When you enter the small courtyard into the hotel lobby, you are greeted by a warm staff who makes you feel very welcomed. We had a king executive suite room, which was very nice. It had two bathrooms, one in the sitting area and one in the bedroom. The room was appointed in rather English style but the bedroom harkened to more of a Palm Beach design with wicker bed. The hotel is quaint and charming. We had afternoon full tea in the library, which was a bit disappointing, I'm sorry to say. Having been a conaissoir of high tea, this tea service was simply adequate. It was a bit sadder than your average modest tea room because, though charming, it was very small. The amount of finger sandwiches, sweets, and scones was very minimal. Most disappointing was that whipped creame pretends to be Devonshire Cream. Tea was well-brewed. The pool area is small, but picturesque with a tiny hot tub that is only open until dusk. My husband and I had wished to use the pool after dinner but it was closed by about 6 p.m. Dinner at the Leopard Lounge was rather a disappointment as well. They did offer at 3-course meal for $38.00 but neither my husband or I were much interested in the choices. We should have gotten it because we got roasted duck and rack of lamb, which were okay. Soup and salad were delicious as was the creme brulee and dessert coffees. The bill was $170, though, and I wish we had had a better meal for the extravagence of the bill. The Leapard Lounge is a very lively place... for folks who are about 80 years old. My husband and I were about 40 years younger than most patrons. You had to admire the cougars and sugar daddies who had a wealth of engery and burned up the lighted dance floor with more energy than most 40 year olds. It was a great place to people watch. Service in the Leopard Loung as in the library for tea was very slow indeed. All in all, the room was very nicely appointed and the front desk staff could not have been more welcoming. It's a lovely hotel, but you certainly could do a bit better elsewhere. Brazillian Court is only a block away and their court yard is much more charming and the food is quite a bit better.
