“Great value and very nice hotel in good location.”
Reviewed May 2, 2013

This was the cheapest hotel we stayed in on our 3 week holiday in Florida and Georgia. But it was also one of the best. We only stayed 1 night as a break in our journey from Key West to St Augustine, but wished we had taken a night or two longer.

The room was a decent size with a King bed, fridge and microwave. It was clean and nicely furnished with a balcony that mainly overlooked the parking lot, (most rooms did) but you could also see the Intracoastal waterway. However, I should mention that none of the ground floor rooms appeared to have balconies/patios. The pool, although a little small, was situated right alongside the Intracoastal waterway, and the pool area felt special with great seats and loungers. The breakfast had a great choice - the best on our trip and the front desk staff were great.

I think this hotel's location is also better than most you will find in the south eastern Florida coastline area above Miami Beach. In many locations frequented by casual tourists the area between beachfront and Intracoastal waterway strip has been spoilt by high rise condominiums that are underoccupied for a large part of the year. This has squeezed out hotels, restaurants and bars from beachfront positions. Fort Lauderdale Beach and Pompano Beach are prime examples of what can happen to areas to ensure they curtail any joy for the casual tourist.
By contrast the Fairfield Inn and Suites at Palm Beach isn't surrounded by largely empty superstructures. It is right on the Intracoastal and perhaps 250 yards to a very good beach and a complex with both Pizza and general dining restaurants, plus ice cream parlour and casino. On the other side of the Intracoastal you will find a wide range of shops and restaurants. Some are within easy walking distance, but for most you will probably need to factor in driving there.

Yes there are condomiums near, and yes this isn't a huge range of facilities right on the doorstep. But look very carefully at the alternatives at other beach resorts if you think the Fairfield Inn and Palm Beach are not right for you.

Room Tip: Avoid ground floor rooms. Get an upper floor rooms with balcony.

just returned from a weekend in south florida. i could have stayed at the four seasons across the street(on the beach) for $1100 per night, but decided to stay at the fairfield inn for $116 per night. The room was fine, breakfast included, a nice small pool and think of all the money i saved. The weather was beautiful regardless of where I stayed.

Yes, I know, it's a lot of money for a Fairfield Inn. $189 per night. But look. It's right on the Intercoastal Waterway, it's across the street from public beach access, free parking, has a cute pool with great pool furniture, includes decent breakfast, walk to restaurant across the street or many more across the bridge. And that was a Spring Break week rate. I HOPE it's cheaper off season!! It was clean, good housekeeping services, comfortable beds, very friendly front desk personnel, (SHOUT OUT TO MY MAN MARCUS!) and nice big TV's in the rooms. The water pressure was good and the towels were plentiful. Having said that. GET NEW HALLWAY AND BREAKFAST AREA CARPET, IT IS SMELLY!!! Would make a big difference for first impressions....And consider adding fridges to the rooms... Other than that Loved it and I will be back!

Room Tip: End units, I think they are suites overlook the Intercoastal and the pool

We were greeted by a friendly host, offered a cold lemonade and cookies as well as a very quick check-in. There is a large common room with comfortable furniture, large breakfast room and comfortable business center. Only deficit was they only had one computer for guest use.
The rooms are large and comfortable with large comfortable baths. The view from all 2nd - 3rd floor rooms are fantastic. We stayed on the south side of the hotel, 2nd floor where we could see the canal. From our balcony we could see a sliver of the ocean and beautiful views of the canal, esp. at night. It also overlooks the A1A bridge and a busy road is separated by the three parking lots. We could hear the road during the day, but never heard it after dark with the curtains closed and A/C blowing.
The ocean is only 1.5 blocks away and the hotel offers beach chairs and towels to guests. They also have a beautiful pool overlooking the canal.
We loved everything about the hotel, esp. the value. My husband was here on business and was away most of the Saturday with our car, but I was able to sit at the pool, walked along the beach and had a special treat - there was a farmer's/craft market Most of the day Saturday at the adjoining park on the canal and near the bridge. It was less than a 1/2 block walk form the hotel. I woke up early and was able to watch them setting up at dawn from my balcony.
We were here during spring break and saw a couple college age groups check-in. They were very excited and a bit noisy checking in during the day; but we didn't hear them at all at night. Had a family group in two rooms across from each other and heard some noise one morning from them, but on the whole it was very quiet while we were sleeping and the staff was friendly and helpful.
This hotel has all the amenities you would expect from a Marriott property and was affordable.

Room Tip: You can either have convenience or a view. If you'd like a view ask for the 2nd or 3rd floor and...

This hotel gets an average as it did give free parking, breakfast and was quite clean (and old!!).
It is not really in Palm Beach but still charges Palm Beach prices. Went into the Four Seasons opposite and that is in a different league (you pay though!!).
The "fitness centre" was 3 machines of which 1 did not work and another barely worked so I would suggest getting out your running shoes and crossing the road to the beach instead. More like a residential area and about 10/15 minutes drive to Worth Avenue etc.

First of all, although the address is Pal Beach, this hotel is really on the Lake Worth border, meaning the most southern extreme of Palm Beach (Lake Worth is across the street). We needed on night in palm beach on the way to other places and didn't want t pay Palm Beach prices, While I was at first disappointed we were so far south, it turned out great. The Lake Worth "Casino" (not for gambling, but as in "a building or large room used for meetings, entertainment, dancing, etc") is across the street and so rather than being nowhere, you have someplace to walk, Oh yes, and the casino is on the ocean and gorgeous public beach. What a deal! There a re a couple of restaurants and a touristy gift s hop and ice cream etc. A nice destination. And the hotel has rooms with balconies that over look the ocean!. We caught fireworks at the casino, from our balcony. The hotel is all the things you except from Marriott, clean, new, spacious, comfortable. The breakfast is free (included) and adequate. The service was friendly and helpful. It is easy to go north from the hotel to Worth Avenue or mansion row. The only thing that stops me from an excellent rating is the lack of individuality. But sometime that is good too. I definitely will stay here again.

Room Tip: See if you can get a balcony facing the ocean. If you request two queens and only need one bed, yo...

The staff is very nice. Normally, I'd say this is overpriced but for this area this hotel is very well priced. The hotel has all the normal Fairfield inn amenities. However the rooms are a bit older & could use a bit of a renovation. Very clean though.
They have a pool area that overlooks the Intracoastal, so very nice.
They are also close to the Westpark shops - which is on the Ocean, about a block away.

When in this area, will stay here again.
