“mixed, stay away”
Reviewed November 19, 2013

I stayed one night at the Brazilian in November for work. While it has charm, and i got upgraded to a nice room thanks to my Amex Platinum card, I had a bad experience there and wouldn't stay there again. The rooms form around lovely courtyards, but it meant that when the hotel hosted an affair at night, as it did when I was there, the music blared till midnight. I couldn't read or sleep till then, and I had been exhausted. I complained several times and sought to move out of the hotel but then the music stopped and they cut my room rate. I've never experienced in in a hotel before. A few other less important matters. The wifi was terribly weak and slow; when I checked out it took several iterations for them to get the bill right; the tub/shower was weird and not easy to use. The big bright spot, as other reviewers noted, is the restaurant in the hotel, where I ate dinner and breakfast, and that I highly recommend.

we stayed here purely by chance and enjoyed one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had in the US. the place was lux but no more expensive than a higher end corporate hotel like a Marriott. The room was tastefully appointed but not silly (which we've seen too much of), our breakfast was different and perfect (not cheap, but less than i've spent at a name brand hotel), and the staff was so on top of details without being on top of us. next time we're in Palm Beach we'll stay there and eat at the Boulud restaurant on the premises. really....

Room Tip: see if there is an upgrade available. we were almost embarrassed to stay in the suite we were given...

We recently stayed at the Brazilian Court for a family wedding in Palm Beach. The room was very nice, quiet and comfortable. The location was great, walking distance to both the beach and Worth Avenue. We enjoyed the outdoor seating in the center courtyard, which was both plentiful and private. The desk staff was very accomodating and very cordial. Overall, a very nice experience.

I stayed in a suite at the Brazilian Court in late September 2013. Gorgeous property, rooms are beautifully appointed, the bar and restaurant are great! Within walking distance to very nice shopping, while still being in a very quiet location.

Stayed in town for the weekend to entertain clients. The hotel is beautiful and the front desk and bellman are great but the remainder of the service (drinks by pool, room service, etc.) was s-l-o-w. We waited for over 30 minutes for a drink by the pool (after we went to the inside bar to have drinks sent out because no one checked on us by the pool to see if we would like to order despite the fact we were out there for over an hour).

This is a beautiful hotel in lush gardens with lots of space for relaxation.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite which was very large and great for our 18 month old to run around the lounge area and play. The bedroom was very comfortable and we slept well as the hotel is in a quiet residential location.

The hotel bar is welcoming with a good drinks and snack menu, which we enjoyed!

We ate breakfast at the hotel, which was great and visited the restaurant for an evening meal. Whilst all meals are served in the same dining room (and we actually ended up on the same table for dinner as we had at breakfast) the ambiance changes throughout the day and different table settings are used so this wasn't too much of a problem.

I would most certainly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is beautiful, but something is missing. It almost seems like, when entering, you're in a old Humphrey Bogart movie, but if you look very closely, as I suppose with anything, you see the flaws. For $400 per night, I want my suite to be a suite, not just a big room and I don't want to see stacks and stacks of shipping boxes in the lobby every time we pass by. The breakfast prices are crazy expensive, but the service was lovely. It's interesting that the "shuttle" to the beach, which was empty and beautiful, was actually one of the doormen driving you there and back in a black BMW. Guests get a canvas bag with water, chairs (need to be replaced), towels, and an umbrella (also needs to be replaced). That was a great and unexpected treat. I think if you want the aura of Hollywood 1940s, you have the money to spend, and you wear some rose colored glasses, you'll enjoy the pool and the decor. However, I don't think it was special enough for more than three stars.
