“Fantastic gardens”
Reviewed January 6, 2012

If you like gardens then you will love the diffenent gardens (Chinese, tropical, formal etc.) to walk through across the street from The Society of the Four Arts building.
It is really enjoyable if you go during the winter when the temps are in the seventies which allows one to linger and investigate the varied art work in the parks and even the colorful fish. And it is free!

“A most beautiful place, and free.”
Reviewed January 1, 2012

The Society of the Four Arts offers lectures, movies, classes, some free, some paid. But it has the most beautiful garden I've seen anywhere--wonderful healthy tropical plants shading you and dappling the lovely stone trails and a Chinese garden with statues hundreds of years old. There're also a library and seashell exhibit and other hidden goodies.

“Worth a stop”
Reviewed June 29, 2011

No charge to visit, unfortunately the galleries are closed till December. Stop by the library first and pick up a map that identifies plants, sculptures and trees. The gardens are beautiful.

“Wonderful cultural venue in Palm Beach”
Reviewed April 9, 2011

This is a treasure in Palm Beach. There is a beautiful garden that is open to the public, a quiet, classic library and the main building which has a museum and auditorium. There are many options available. There is a calendar of talks and presentations, many that are free, others there is a charge. There is also a calendar of musical events--the best deal for non members are Sunday afternoon chamber concerts which are only $15 a person. Check the website or calendar for a list of events and prices. There are also regular shows in the museum, a recent one was on the Hudson River School of artists. If you are around Palm Beach this is a great place to spend time. There is free parking in the various lots (which fill up if there is an event going on). The location is on the east side of the Intracoastal waterway with a great view of the waterway and the West Palm Beach skyline.

“A wonderful garden!”
Reviewed August 7, 2009

The Society of the Four Arts is the hub of culture in Palm Beach. I'm not into that but I am a Florida gardener and Palm Beach is candy to the eyes of a gardener. This is my third visit in 9 years to the Society of the Four Arts garden. The gardens were nearly destroyed mid-decade by hurricanes but have been re-created in a way that is at once intimate -- you really could re-create some of the vignettes in your own Florida garden -- and inspirational in their scope. This is one of my favorite Florida public gardens.
