Description: Sfuso is a small family owned and operated restaurant situated on the magnificent waterfront of Blackmans Bay just 15 minutes south of Hobart. The cuisine is a blend of Italian, Mediterranean and modern flavours utilising fresh local produce. The menu begins with a large range of antipasti plates followed by handmade pasta dishes, traditional pizza and regular specials such as eye fillet steak, roast duck and local fish. The wine list is ever changing with an emphasis on Tasmanian and European producers. Bookings are recommended.

This is always an enjoyable spot looking over the river Derwent. The dick pizza is a favourite, as is the salt and pepper calamari.
A small but decently price wine list complements this quiet restaurant.

A group of seniors from U3A Kingborough have been walking along the beach front as part of the 'Wheelie Walkers' group over summer. At the end of each walk we were made most welcome at Sfuso where we enjoyed coffee and a chat.
On the last morning we all met up for breakfast there.

We returned to lunch here on another visit to Tasmania. Can't recommend it too strongly. The food is excellent. Two entries each plus a dessert each were sufficient. The atmosphere is beachside bistro. The chef has top technique: try the mushrooms on haloumi and rocket with Shiraz vinegar dressing. The pork belly simply melted and was terrific with the poached cinnamon pear.
The wine list is sufficient and well priced.
The service is genuinely pleasant. A happy local that welcomes out of towners. Go!

The food is a bit unimaginative and serves small for the price. The pasta seemed to be reheated and a bit lacklustre.

Lovely family friendly small restaurant with wonderful views across the bat. Food is always beautifully cooked and very well presented. Staff just lovely, helpful and very aware of what is going on around them. Not a large menu, but wide selection to meet every taste, and staff and kitchen very helpful if alternatives are required. Simple but good food. Some menu items available for take-away. Wine list reasonable and nice variety. Great value all round. Special attention given to children's needs and likes!
