We have been here many times, but today was the last. Love watching the water and boats. Something sure changed the last two visits. Maybe its season. Last visit we had to get the Mgr. as they wanted to charge us for drinks and $2 more each for the mix they put in it. Today we had 4 drinks total and the charge of $25 came out for 6. That doesnt bother me a lot but when we asked about it we didnt get a ...Im sorry. We got an argument. Sure dont need that. There are to many fun good places in the area.

In past years only locals and a few snowbirds knew about this place, but those good old days couldn't last - this spot is just too beautiful to keep secret forever. It's on the intracoastal waterway just a few steps from US41 but it's on a side street and unless you're looking for it you could live here for years and never know it's there. It's been upgraded with a big spacious chickee hut for outdoor dining (and drinking). The little indoor pub is still there, relatively unchanged. You can arrive by boat and tie up to a long rickety dock - even if you come here by car, it's worth taking a walk out onto the dock for a few pictures. Most waterfront restaurants in the area tend to have subpar food because they know their view guarantees a clientele - but Spanish Pointe's food is pretty good. Not excellent - we're talking food baskets with fries and plastic silverware, but it's pretty good. On my last visit I arrived with a party of six, and each of us enjoyed our various entrees, which included a cheeseburger, grouper sandwich, sauteed soft-shell crab, and fish and chips. They have a selection of frou frou tropical drinks and a bucket of beer special for those who prefer suds. Service was sluggish but friendly. Long story short - if you come here relaxed and in no hurry, and enjoy sitting in a tropical setting watching the sunlight (or moonlight) flickering off the gentle ripple of the intracoastal - this is your place. If you're in a hurry or a real gourmet connoisseur, maybe not. I still like this place very much, although I do miss the good old days when it wasn't so touristy....

Friendly service with a beautiful Tiki atmosphere. Sit at bar or at the beach and watch the jumping mullets - and then the sunset sky

Despite the cool day, the food was good, however, the "guitarist-singer" left a little to be desired. All his songs sounded the same.
Food was average.
