We visit Hull's once every few weeks for some awesome seafood. This is a casual spot. You can sit outside or inside. You order at the counter, they give you a number, and bring your food to the table. Last night was our most recent visit.
Almost everything we ordered was fried because we needed some drinking food, but the freshness of the food was not masked. The fried oysters are the best around, fried shrimp are the best EVER. Fries are really good, although I don't think they are hand-cut. All the sides are great, actually, including the veggies. Sauteed mixed vegetable are amazing! Fish is always fresh, and is delicious prepared broiled or blackened. Last night they had kingfish, which was fresh off their boat! The soups are great. They have a market next door with fresh seafood by the pound to take home. You can also bring it over to the restaurant and they will prepare it for you. It can be very expensive, but it's fresh, mostly local seafood, so that is to be expected. Also, you can order anything on the menu by the pound. We used this method last night, and saved about $20 ordering by the pound rather than platters, and still had way more than enough food.
The only negative aspect is the service. Some of the employees are great, and some are a little slow. I guess I order too fast? But because the food is so great, and there's no competition in the area, we ignore the sometimes less than stellar service.
