I made reservations wks in advance. Was told that CHECK in was 4pm. Drove from Orlando to Ormond - at 4:10 I get a call saying that they have OVER BOOKED! No Room - Really! What to tell the kids?!?!?!

Room Tip: a tip?... hmmmm Maybe just call every 5 min BEFORE you arrive to your reservations... cause I guess...

This was an OK motel. Very good location, right on the beach. Back side has ocean views and balconies which is cool. Some have kitchenettes as well. However, it is old. Tile floors area always a bad sign. Marginal internet access as well (evidently depending on how many other people were using it at any given moment). They did offer breakfast, but it was so-so. Biscuts and gravy every day. Bottom line, if you can get it at a bargain price, then take it, otherwise, try for something a little more modern

Room Tip: Try and get beach side. Also, if you want to save money, get the kitchenette and buy your own food

Hotel is old, lighting is bad, rooms are dirty. Fortunately, we did have direct access to the beach.

Walls are extremely thin. We could hear everything in the room next to us. This Included screaming parents at 2am.

Asked for extended checkout time due to afternoon commitment. Was told no, we are oversold. However, found out later there were vacancies.

If you need a very inexpensive hotel on the beach, that has a good location this is a good spot.

If you are looking for a clean room, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, and a place to sleep at night- THIS IS NOT IT.

I will not be back.

It's not a 5 star hotel. It's a lodge with a few amenities. If you're looking to be entertained, it's not going to happen here. However, if you're looking for a convenient place with a beachfront balcony just steps away from a flawless beach. Grab a book or fishing pole. This is the place. The view is over the top.

Title says it all! Beds clean comfortable but rooms all need a good scrubbing. Place has gone downhill since our last visit when it was under ownership of Gilmore family. So sorry, was such a family place! Won't be back.

This is (I'm guessing) a 50's resort that was probably pretty cool in its day. The rooms are clean with stucco walls and a narrow porch overlooking the ocean. We got off to a bad start with a room that hadn't been taken care of in a while ...nothing worked ..TV didn't work, plug for wife's iPad fell out of the electric outlet, couldn't open the balcony sliding door. We moved to another room the next day and were very happy with it. Bigger working TV and balcony door opened, though it did have plenty of pigeon poop on it. LOL The view of the beach was nice. The "Polynesian" décor was a Big Tiki head out front and some totem poles along one wall on an outbuilding you walk by to get to the pool. Some rattan facing on dressers. The beds were comfy and we were really there just to sleep and go out all day to see the sites and do things, so overall the place served it purpose well enough. They do make ends meet by renting some rooms long-term to local geriatrics, so keep that in mind. Forget the "continental" breakfast with dry looking biscuits and a pot of gravy and your choice of convenience store style Danish pastry ...a bowl of fruit ...no meat, no eggs, no waffles. We went out to eat. Over-priced given all the above. We could just as well have stayed at a 40 dollar motel without the view of which there were plenty and nice looking along the road in this off season.

Room Tip: Ask to see the room first and see if everything works.
