Coming from Atlanta, grew up in the area and have never been so excited to see something so sophisticated come to the Ormond/Daytona area! This place is great! Tyler is a well versed, knowledgable, friendly bartender. Will absolutely go back when I come down to visit again. :)

and at great prices too. I end up at Blau often - #1 for atmosphere and #1 for menu selection/quality of food. I love the large booths with paper for writing - there's always something that needs illustrating. I go there at least once a week because the menu is perfect. Something for everyone, and never a complaint, always an accolade. Great choices for sticking to healthy eating as well. Wish they served liquor and not just wine/beer. I go any chance I can - I recommend Blau to everyone!!! BEST IN ORMOND BEACH :)

I went to Blau for my birthday with a girlfriend and had a great time..!
We ate at the bar and Taylor was our server/bartender. There's lots of fun and different things about Blau , but my favorite was the way they brew their specialty teas In a cool little tea pot ,right in front of you. It made dinner fun and a little more interactive.
Taylor was attentive and added to our conversation ,without being an "in your face" server. The food was awesome , artichoke fritters , and salmon were perfect. Can't wait to try the burgers.

And yes , for my birthday , the staff sang to me , thanks guys for a great nite..! Jessie

Have driven by Blau for over a year, always saying, we should visit it and try it out. Well, this past Saturday we did and were so wonderfully surprised, Blau will become a regular dining spot for us now.

We entered late for a Saturday lunch, almost 1:30 p.m. and were not surprised there was no one else in the restaurant. Was met with a huge smile by our server Tyler and seated at a very comfortable booth. The decor really did remind us both of European styled restaurants and we LOVED that each table had fresh butcher block paper on them and small crayons pieces to let your artistic talents flow, which is also a great treat for kids.

Tyler helped us through understanding the menu, as Tapas were our interest in being able to try different styles of chef preparations. We ordered regular iced tea, without even knowing there were so many different options with tantalizing blends such as Ginger, Blackberry, etc. Out came the most innovative & stylish brewing, cooling and presentation of iced tea we have ever experienced with unique curved glasses. Definitely worth the $4.75 cost and never once did we have to ask for more iced tea - the brewing process kept going on.

We tried numerous tapas: Unfortunately they were out of Calamari, so Tyler suggested the Artichoke Fritters, which were very tasty. Also tried the Spanish Meatballs which were divine, the Serrano Ham & Mushroom crepe, which was wonderful and both of us chose one of their numerous selections of side salads, one got Caesar, the other Greek and both very nice portions and delicious. We then said, oh this is so great, let's get something else as this is a place we could go, have tapas, wine, beer flowing for some time at this great restaurant.

Tyler suggested the Saganaki, which is a special cheese mixture, lit on fire at your table in a small skillet served with fabulous pita style bread. This was awesome, but we really would have liked to have had this bread with our Spanish meatballs earlier and will indeed on our next visit. One suggestion on Saganaki, the small skillet stays very hot, continues to cook the cheese, so turn it over, or it could brown too much on one side.

Having lived in Europe for some years, including Spain, Blau was such a blast of remembrance of unique styled tapa venues, and was grinning the entire visit.

The food is so perfectly prepared, exceptionally presented and the staff, like Tyler just a breath of fresh air for Ormond Beach. Numerous parties began to arrive during our meal, and heard that some of them had just found Blau and returned the same week. The couple with a small child next to us, said their young daughter just loves the ability to draw on the paper table cloth, that they as well thought the wait staff are awesome and the food fabulous. Was told the Burgers are the BEST they have every had..

Blau is indeed not inexpensive, our bill came to $63 for both of us, but we really did eat a lot and would have no problems coming back again and again for the exceptional food, service and atmosphere.

Tyler the server informed us about Tapas, Salads, Soups and drinks happy hours Mon-Thur, where you can select 3 items, any tapas, soup or salad on the fixed menu for $15.. He said this was also being offered at the moment on Sunday.. So guess where we will be dining for lunch today - BLAU!

One suggestion to Management and see it also mentioned in a review below - LOWER the SOUND of your wonderful music and you will have NO complaints from our household.

They built it so we came and glad we did....;) Great food, great people and atmosphere that welcomes all. My wife and I are Saturday afternoon/evening regulars trying nearly every dish on the menu since we found this hidden food treasure. Love the gourmet burgers, pizzettes, cheesecakes, soups, salads and creative specials from Chef Joe and staff. This place will not disappoint on any occasion and have selections for every craving. ;) David & Missy White Ormond
