We have had a consistantly good, professional experience here. Always good service, good food..very dependable. We have never had an issue with food or service and have been about 15 times. We can go for a celebration and feel confident we will have a solid experience. We enjoy the variety and the "Tapas". This is a great place for trying new foods with family and friends.

“Terrific Tapas”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2013

The theme of "the dish" is Your Plate or MIne. Yes, go there with at least a group of four to really appreciate your experience. The restaurant is located on busy Granada Blvd. (Rt 40) in Ormond Beach and is virtually invisible to passing traffic as it is located in one of many strip malls on the north side of the street. Parking is plentiful as would be expected in such a setting.

The party of four was greeted warmly and seated at a table surrounded by original artwork in a warmly appointed room...comfortable atmosphere. Our server, Shea, took great care with the party, had excellent knowledge of the menu, had a great personality and was always attentive without being intrusive.

The menu was extensive and featured the obvious tapas (smaller portions) as well as dinner entrees. Without going into descriptions of each selection, the party ordered 8 tapas and 2 dinner choices. These included filet tips, seared ahi, ravioli caprese, baby back ribs, oven roasted asparagus, lamb chops and margarita pizza to mention a few. All were prepared and presented well and delivered at various times when they were ready and are highly recommended. One dinner entree was not enjoyed, and therefore not recommended, and that was the mussels marinara. The local mussels were cooked perfectly, but the marinara sauce was a thick glob of tomato sauce over mushy linguine. The party was expecting the typical light sauce which would be used for dipping the ciabatta bread once the mussels were consumed. Alas, that was the only real disappointment. Three desserts (actually four because of one of the party was celebrating her birthday and comped by the house) were ordered and the favorite by a wide margin was the apple crisp. Again, smaller portions, except for the crisp, were shared and enjoyed by the party.

In general: go with a group to sample a great deal of choices...order in stages (this party ordered in three),,,order wine or beer...stay away from the mussels marinara...and enjoy a wonderful quality dining experience.

“Not as good as it was”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

It had been a while since I took the family here. The prices have increased, the choices have lessened, and the house wine instead of being great is now below average. While the atmosphere is still nice and overall it is OK, it was once our favorite place but, alas, is no longer...

“Wow.... I loved it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2013

Being new to Ormond Beach, I hadn't heard about this place, until it was suggested we try it. I was interested in the concept of sharing small plates of different items, and I was impressed, from the time we walked in the door. The staff were amazing, you felt so welcome from the time you sat down to the time you left. We had the Tapas, shrimp parmesan, veal marsala, fried cauliflower and salmon bites, everything was hot and tasted amazing, and the service was perfect considering how busy it was on a Friday evening, and at no time did you feel rushed. I will be returning here, more than once a week. After reading other reviews, the five reviewers, that said it was terrible, I don't think they would spend a nickel to see Niagara Falls go backwards.

“Our New Favorite place in Ormond Beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2013

Everything about this place is fantastic. The tapas theme, smaller portions, decor, impeccable service, atmosphere, value and the food itself could not be better. On a very busy Friday night, our service was outstanding, they could certainly give pointers to other places in the area. Bartenders Amanda and Megan "Rocked" the bar and their tables. Our only misgiving with this restaurant is that it took us almost a year to learn about it. We will become regulars on our visits to Ormond Beach.
