Charmingly decorated restaurant - a piece of Germany right here in Ormond Beach! It truly does look like an old hunting lodge - with charm. Gingham tablecloths, spacious room left between tables, so we didn't feel scrunched together with the other diners.

Excellent selection of wines and beers, so we sampled one of each. The chicken noodle soup and veal barley soup were well seasoned and served hot, the bread and cheese spread served with the meal are too good.

My husband had one of their schnitzels with hot German potato salad. I ordered a platter of bratwurst and knockwurst, which were served with a sweet sauerkraut, zesty German mustard and home fries that were well seasoned, with a slight vinegar tang. We tasted each other's food and agreed that it was ALL good.

For desserts, we ordered a Palacinka, a yummy Czech crepe with raspberry and chocolate sauces, and the traditional apple strudel, along with strong black coffee and a creme caramel.

The total for all of this was only $54, plus tip. We felt it was good value for the dollar, and you couldn't beat the taste of every item.

We'll definintely be going back for more.

It is difficult to locate a schnitzel restauraurt in FL let alone a good one. The schnitzel are freshly cooked and huge - thin and hot. The lentil soup was memorable. Very good choice of European beers and wines. Excellent service. Recommend a reservation on the weekend.

German hunting lodge themed decor in two cozy rooms. Our family of six had several variants of the Schnizel and also Pierogies. Led with soups and rye bread with cheese-garlic-butter. Everything home made from scratch and delicious. Large portions. Had Apple Strudel for dessert with real whipping cream. Delicious, delicious, delicious. Will visit again next trip. Can't wait!

We were surprised to find European cuisine in Ormond Beach and given the restaurant's high TripAdvisor rating decided to try it out. The chef is also the owner and his food was excellent. We ordered potato pancakes, borsht and three different types of schnitzels. We liked the french fries more than mashed potatoes. The schnitzels look huge but they are so thin and tasty that all three of us were able to finish our meals. But the best part was the apple strudel - excellent thin dough and lots of tasty apples. We have visited Vienna recently and European Cafe & Schnitzel House can compete with most of Vienna establishments in the food taste.

My husband and I were in Ormond Beach for the weekend and spotted this restaurant across from our hotel. The dining room was small - it is best to call ahead and make sure they've got seating. It has the feeling of being a family run restaurant, which I find nice and comforting. They have a good selection of schnitzels and European entrees making it hard to decide what to order.
