Just a bit down the road, but much more calm and quiet than nearby Daytona Beach. Still the same soft sand beach; houses and some high-rise condos, but little traffic. Occasional wind-surfers, etc.

The town is perfectly located, the atmosphere was so peaceful and laid back. We were within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Daytona is minutes away.

wasn't near as nice of an area as 4 miles down at Daytona Beach. Bombarded by salespeople on the beach bugging to go on timeshare presentations - they literally drive up and down the beach in golf carts after you

My family and I have been going down to Ormond beach every May for the last 39 years. We absolutely love it. The beach is huge and the water very inviting. We take lovely long walks down to Daytona and can literally walk for miles in either direction. The beach is nice and quiet, especially in May and even in their busier seasons, the beaches don't get packed like Daytona.

This is a great place for families. The white sandy beaches offer hours of fun for the kids and if you stay in a place on the water, you can alternate between the pool and the ocean all day long!

We continue to see the same friends and families annually and really feel like we're home when we are there.

Nice place to visit. Not a lot going on here, but nice. Close to Daytona. Tomoka State Park is a nice place. A lot of ticks in the park though so you will want to take your Off with you.
