We stayed here for a two day pit stop on our way to Miami Surfside Resort. The facilities are great here with many recent upgrades. In the main lobby there is a coffee bar, mini-bistro, and craft bar. Workout room is the best I've seen at a resort besides a cruise ship. The pools have slides for the kids which were great for entertainment for hours. It has two poolside restaurants and bars. One large pool and then an outdoor/indoor pool for the winter months. Rooms have a full kitchen with utensils
My family and I stayed here from 4/15-4/22, and has a very nice stay. The staff was friendly and the grounds kept very clean. We really liked our spacious room, but I didn't like that the master bedroom only has a shower. The exterior of building 5, and actually all of the buildings screamed for some updating, but the rooms in general, I cannot complain about. The pools we awesome, as we're the food and drinks offered. All in all it was a place o would highly recommend. My ONLY draw back was that we went down on a discounted rate after agreeing to do a 2 hour sales pitch, and that sales pitch ended up being FIVE HOURS! We did it on the Sunday after we arrived, which was Easter Sunday, and wasted the whole day there! We were so hungry and we had left our 12 year old in the room honing we'd be back in 2 hours! Of course he had no food in the room aside from cereal, so we felt so guilty.
If you go, just pay the full price. It's worth going, but not worth losing 5 hours of your day to do the presentation.
We've stayed here many times. It has spacious 2 bedroom condos with either lake view or pool view. Every condo has washer and dryer. Gated access. Incredible pools, gameroom, and very close to all thingredients orlando!
We stayed here for a week in Building 1 on the fifth floor. We had two rooms adjoining a main kitchen and living area. The rooms were clean and neat, and the kitchen had all the basic amenities.
The building is a "C" shape and all the rooms face the pool inside the "C" so it was a bit loud for my taste. The balconies all faced each other so there was no privacy when sitting out on the balcony.
The pool and pool deck at Building 1 got very little sun because of the layout of the building. The kid pool here is a small 10' by 10' pool with no fountains or features. Always in the shade so it was very cold. There are two other pools at the resort within walking distance. We spent more time at those than at the one by our room. The kids areas at the other pools were much better.
Other than the pools, there were activities every day for both kids and adults. We did not participate in them because most has fees associated with them. Not much else for kids to do besides the pools. The playground for the kids was really a joke. One slide and a couple of bars to play on. I've stayed at places with much better play areas.
The limited food options at the restaurants tasted good. We are a vegetarian family, so the options for us were very limited. The food we did have was good and reasonably priced.
The desk service, tickets and concierge handled almost any issues we had in a timely fashion.
We had to sit through a sales meeting as part of the timeshare booking. It was brief (2+ hours). The presenter was amusing, and the sales people that we saw after the presentation were very nice (Helen and Alysson). We had our two kids with us. The kids couldn't sit any longer through their sales pitch, and both Helen and Alysson were very understanding.
Overall, the stay was nice with no major problems. The pools were a bit of a disappointment. Ours was in shade most of the time. The other two pools were slightly better, but still lacked in my opinion.
We had a good stay. The rooms were clean, the service was good, the price was affordable, and the location was great. If you are looking for higher end with sit-down restaurants, more amenities, and more kid activities, then I would look elsewhere. If you are looking for more budget-friendly stay with the basics, I could recommend staying here.
