We choose this park it was the only one to be open the latest and since we were not staying at a Disney resort we could not use the extended hours it offers for Disney hotels. The place was packed with people waiting to see the Christmas lights all lit up. This was pretty but we accidentally stepped in a out of bounds zone they made. Which was not clearly marked and got screamed at by a park attendant. This park has little and is mostly shops to get you to buy stuff or restaurants that have huge wait times. Overall we could not go to that park and feel we still saw everything we should when visiting Disney. One could see everything they needed in a half of day. My least favorite Disney park.

I ve been to Hollywood studios before but going to see the Osborne family spectacle to dancing lights just brought my Hollywood studios experience to another level. If you are in the Orlando areas during the month of December, a Hollywood Studios visit is a must.

We usually visit here for one day during our trips to WDW. It really takes only a day to see everything here, and there is a VERY limited amount of "rides" (see "CONS" below). If the layout wasn't so bizarre (a bit of back-tracking and a lot of walking), it would probably take even less time. We haven't been on the Aerosmith Rock 'n Roller Coaster yet because it seems to be broken-down every time we're here. The Tower of Terror never disappoints. The Toy Story Midway Mania is a lot of fun, but it's always crowded with heavy wait times, and somehow those in-the-know are aware of an exit door that they can get into and cut the line with reckless abandon. The Great Movie Ride is interesting with active actor/cast member participation. Star Tours in cute, but it's basically a glorified motion simulator (it's Star Wars so we liked it anyway). The Studio Backlot Tour was permanently closed on September 27, 2014 - a favorite of ours and we were greatly disappointed.

The stunt shows (Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show and the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular) are AWESOME, but have a limited amount of viewing times (the Exreme Stunt Show played only twice the day we went). This park doesn't seem to get as crowded as the Magic Kingdom so it is a little more relaxed. And being a Disney product, it has lots of interesting detail and some fun moments.

The food choices are average but interesting. For a real trip through time to your mother's or grandmother's kitchen, visit the 50's Prime Time Cafe. The waiting area is a 50's era living room, and each table is set in it's very own 50's kitchen or dining room... complete with a TV playing 50's TV shows and lots of 50's details, including the furniture. The staff are dressed the part and even act the part. The food is traditional American home cooking/50's restaurant fare (pot roast, meatloaf, fried chicken, burgers, etc.), and pretty good. I haven't had a real vanilla malt that good since I was a kid. It's on the WDW Dining Plan as a table service.

PROS:
-Superb stunt shows
-The "rides" are very entertaining
-Less crowds
-Visually pleasing

CONS:
-Limited amount of "rides"
-No more Studio Backlot Tour
-Unusual layout
-20 food stations/restaurants, 8 gift shops, 2 stunt shows, 5 actual "rides", 10 shows/interactive entertainment (this information was directly from their park map).
