If you need a break from the park, hop on in here! I was feeling rather sick after riding the everest roller coaster and needed to sit down and rest so we wandered in to the Yak and Yeti. We did not have a reservation but it was only like 11 am so we were seated right away. The food was great, they had a lot to choose from and it was really tasty. I would highly recommend the cheesecake wontons for dessert, they were AWESOME!!

We ate at a busy lunchtime which can sometimes kill atmsosphere in a theme park restaurant but this was great. The waitress was friendly and helpful, the food very tasty. Portions perhaps a bit large, we were rather too full for desert but shared the vanilla and grilled pineapple cream cheese won tons which we loved. This is in a great spot in the magic kingdom and we would recommend it as a place to eat. Only recommendation would be to offer something a bit more interesting for the vegetarians.

Loved this restaurant. Was our first time there. We arrived a bit early and they took us right upstairs. Unfortunately, this was one of the few downfalls. It was freezing up there! We asked our waiter to turn the air off midway through the meal and he did but then it came back on again prior to us leaving. The food was superb! We had the seafood curry (very yummy!), tempura shrimp, Kobe beef burger (wonderful!), tuna tataki appetizer which we reordered it was soooo good for round 2, salmon entree, and the mango pie and wonton dessert. All were wonderful. The only suggestion I have is for the waiter to speak a little slower. He rambled things off very quickly and it was difficult to get it all since even our brains were in vacation mode. Overall, great experience and loved the decor throughout. We took several pics as we left the restaurant.

I have been to many places in Disney where the food is usually terrible and bitter. This is the first place in Disney where i have eaten at that has food that is eatable. There appitizers for two and there asain marinated steaks are there biggest highlights. The Waiters/Waitresses are also amazing. Most of the places that you eat at the Walt Disney World are famous for the atmosphere and not the food. Though the Yak and Yeti boasts both.

The Animal Kingdom is to be savored, and there are so many opportunities to wander off the beaten path just to watch for exotic species and to just absorb the environment. Part of our rules for Disney include to Always Plan For Lunch. We like to to sit down for table service, and this is really the only option in the AK. The food we had was serviceable, filling (lo mein), and good value (portions were pretty big), but the main bonus is being able to get a libations when you are needing a little down time. Reservations are a must- this is important for planning- because this is the only table service we found in the AK.
Also: Expedition Everest is AWESOME! and it is such a smooth ride you can even ride it after lunch!
