My wife and I just returned from spending three nights here and were very impressed. The hotel is ideally located on quiet Universal Blvd, just a short block and easy walk from many restaurants, shops and attractions on busy International Drive. The hotel is fairly new and was completely renovated top to bottom about a year ago, which gave us the impression it was brand-new.

Rooms - Our room was large, very nicely decorated, and included all the latest Hampton Inn amenities. Our king-size bed had the latest plush-style mattress with comforter-style blanket and both firm and soft pillows, and was very comfortable. Our bath area had plenty of large fluffy towels. Everything was vey clean, including the upholstered sofa and chair cushions. Drapes were the light-blocking type, making our room dark for a good night's sleep.

Staff - All of the staff were very pleasant on both the evening shifts and morning shifts, and they were all very knowledgable about the area and directions to attractions. They were also knowledgable about restaurants in the area.

Breakfast - The breakfast area is just off the lobby and nicely arranged. Even with the hotel full all three nights, we and other guests had no problem finding a table. The breakfast selections were good, like we have come to expect at other nice Hampton Inns, and included two hot items every day. These hot items were different each day of our stay, which was very thoughtful of management. The breakfast area had 2-3 staff people on duty every day keeping everything replenished and clean.

Other - The hotel is extremely quiet. Several high school bus groups were staying at the hotel while we were there and we did not hear any noise whatsoever from any of them.

We were also highly impressed with the way the staff treated us. The hotel is near the Convention Center and guests are a mix of both business people and tourists. Although this was our first stay at this hotel, we were treated as regulars and made to feel our business was truly appreciated.

We very definitely plan to stay here on future trips to Orlando and highly recommend this hotel to others.

We have just returned from spending a week at the Hampton Inn & Convention Centre, Universal Boulevard, Orlando, and would certainly return there again - in fact we hope to in September! The hotel was walking distance of International Drive. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The staff polite and friendly. And the complementary continental breakfast superb as was the outdoor swimming pool. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone going to Orlando.

Booked through Travelcity UK. have stayed in lots of IDrive hotels and this is without doubt the nicest and the best. Free breakfast saved us family of 4 a load of money. Hotel was squeaky clean, staff were spot on, the pool, although small, was always quiet and loungers were free. It was only a matter of 2 minutes to walk thru the car parks to ID. Free news papers, only gripe, would like to have had a bar to retire to sometimes although we found out halfway thru the stay that we could take cold beers etc into the dining area to watch the wide screen TV. All in all if going to ID again will stay there.

As relayed by many other reviewers there are only positive things to say about this Hampton. Ideal location, easy to get around using International Drive by pass or Universal Blvd. We were at the Walt Disney World parks and back in our room within 20 to 25 minutes. You could easily walk to International Drive and the restaurants at Pointe Orlando. Our room was immaculate as was the entire hotel. Friendly, welcoming staff. You would always get a "hi "as you walked by the front desk. The hotel was fully booked during our stay but it was still quiet. The guests were a mixture of business people for activities at the convention centre and vacationers though not many with young children. Despite a busy time the breakfast area was well serviced with all food items constantly being refreshed. There was a well maintained pool area as well as exercise room. We would gladly stay here again.

I took my daughter to Florida for her spring break from college for some mother/daughter bonding. What a great choice of hotels. We stay at Hampton Inns frequently and have always had good experiences. This, by far, is one of the nicest Hamptons we have stayed in. The location was perfect: close to all attractions, shopping, dining and many things within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was kept spotless. Always enough towels, etc. We mostly went just to be lazy and lay by the pool in the sun. The pool area was kept very clean with lots of guest towels. Since we were there the first part of March it was not crowded. The free breakfast was excellent, always tons of food, and staff readily available to help. One of the bigger breakfast areas that I have seen. The beds at the Hampton are the best. You can even buy them for your home. We both slept like babies. Many new restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Felt very safe walking, even at night, to dinner. Lots of other tourists out strolling. It also didn't hurt that we had absolutely perfect weather! Sunny and at least 80 every day. I would definitely stay at this Hampton for spring break next year, and maybe before if i can talk my husband into it.
