We booked our stay at this hotel as part of a package with British Airways. We were very disappointed with our stay at the hotel. We did expect that the hotel will not provide luxury facilities as it is a very basic budget hotel. However at least you do expect a basic standard of hygiene and cleanliness. The carpets appeared to be dingy, the bath tub was not cleaned properly and there were moulds on the bathroom wall and ceiling. The duvet covers are very old and used. As other reviews have mentioned, if you want some privacy in your room, you need to close the curtains as people walking past your room can see directly in the room. However on the brighter side, this hotel is in a good location. We had a wonderful time at Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Sea World. We loved the shows at Sea World, especially Blue Horizons and Believe. We simply could not get enough of the Blue Horizons show and Spiderman at Universal Islands of Adventure. You can get a bus from the hotel to Universal studios. We did not enjoy Disney world as much as Universal Studios. We also enjoyed shopping in Orlando and we were able to get some very good bargains for a lot of designer clothes, bags and shoes. In terms of restaurants near the hotel, we would highly recommend China Jade. The food is good and the Mongolian grill is well worth a visit. There is also another good restaurant near the hotel, Salt Lake Island for fish and seafood lovers.

my family and i stayed here over xmas 13th -27th Decemeber 2006 as we have done in the past 14 years on 6 occasions with family and friends ..the largest group being 18 back in 2001 ...check in was short and painless and the room request we had made was granted with no hassles...rooms are looking a little worn but running a guest house here in the U.K i know how quickly thru a busy season they start to look worn out ..we had all the facilities we needed kettle, fridge ,which we used to have to hire for our stay and a micro..also iron and board which is useful when you have used the onsite laundry..$1.75 a wash ..same for a tumble ..meals in the hotel are more expensive than other places on I drive like sizzlers and golden corral..we only used it as we had some free meals thru virgin travel and dinners arent as varied as else where..pool wasnt too busy each time we or our son used it and i wasnt aware of much noise going on except at the start of our holiday when they had a cheer leader troop in and on xmas eve ..we had a problem with the t.v remote that was dealt with within 10 mins and our request for extra pillows was also quickly dealt with ..room done each day, though not spectacularly cleaned ..each day towels were replaced and beds made and bins emptied ..all in all our stay was much the same as previous years ..we had a comfortable bed to sleep in and room tidied ...when you have had a busy day out and about thats basically what you want and as for the curtain and privacy thing ..close the darn things then !
hope this helps anyone reading make their minds up ..what i will say is what is good for one needn't suit another ..we have learnt that ourselves with our guest house..its a basic clean hotel in a good location..read other reviews and then decide if its right for you

We stayed here from the 15 - 29th December and found the hotel overall very very basic. Rooms are very old fashioned and there is no privacy as people passing by hotel can see right into room if curtains are not drawn. The pool area is ok but very noisy up to 10pm or later. The restaurant food is awful especially breakfast and the shop in the hotel is very expensive. Although most people only need to sleep in a hotel - there is absolutly no luxury at this hotel for anyone wanting to relax or take a day off from the parks.

We have stayed at this hotel on 2 separate occasions. My husband and I stayed in April 2006 and my husband, myself, and our youngest teen daughter stayed in July 2006. Our chihuahua was with us both times.

This hotel is an excellent value for the person who comes to Orlando for Disney and Universal, and just needs somewhere to sleep and wind down after long days at the parks. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The pool areas are nice and a good place to relax. The hotel is close to everything on International drive and many things are within walking distance. The staff in the lobby are all extremely pleasant and very helpful.

My only complaint about this hotel is the breakfast. From what I can recall, it's around 10 bucks a person and it is horrible! Even for a good breakfast buffet that is expensive.... but if it was good, I at least would not complain. I complain simply because it really and truly is awful. DO NOT waste your money. Go instead to the I-HOP, Denny's, or Golden Corral down the street. As for the Ponderosa places, I don't care for them either as their eggs are powdered and not real, etc. I personally don't care for that.

I know some people complain about the noise at this hotel...and yes, it is true that it is an extremely busy hotel and there are always tons of people staying there. However, I had no problems with noise or with sleeping either time that I stayed.

I would highly recommend this hotel. If at any time you are there and have a problem, I would suggest speaking with the day manager... his name is Albert and he is extremely nice. I have spoken to him on several occasions, but never to complain. But it is because of my conversations with him in the past that I am pretty confident he would be more than willing to solve any problems with a guest.

The hotel was fine we read many reviews of this hotel with which must have been written by some really fussy people our room was 2nd floor overlooking one of the pools...yes this hotel has two pools both heated! One even has a small shallow toddler pool
The cleaners were great and our travel company info advised us to leave a $1 tip each day a mere 50p and by doing so our room was always spotless! After all if you don't like tipping then America really isn't for you bearing in mind their minimum wage is $6 an hour £3.00...
The hotel security were excellent and could be seen patrolling regularly and each entrance to the carparks had security sitting there too. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Tip is to buy your phone card from the gift shop in the hotel foyer much cheaper than the travel reps in fact $5 cheaper with same amount of minutes to phone the UK.
The free travel to Universal was easy to book and we always got a seat. There is no need to pay the hotel fee to get to Disney on their coaches if you are on a budget just get on the I ride (Green trolley buses) after buying your season tickets from your rep its cheaper than daily rates. Then get off one stop before Sea World and pick up the Lynx Bus for $1.50 each way. The I ride driver will show you the stop if you ask.
I would recommend anyone to this hotel...yes the windows of the room are large and privacy may be a little compromised with the curtains open but who goes to Orlando to sit in a hotel room all day??? And the rooms air con was excellent and very easy to use I would use this hotel again.

After reading the reviews we were quite worried about what to expect at this hotel. I went armed with lots of anti-bacterial wipes, spray and other cleaning materials, but we were very pleasantly surprised with the whole complex. Upon arrival after a very long day the staff in Reception were very friendly and helpful. The Reception area was spotless and very nice.
Our room overlooked the pool, which the maintenence man spent at least 90 minutes every morning cleaning, so the whole area was spotless.
Our room was CLEAN. It had a complimentary safe, fridge, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and a big stack of clean towels.
Our room was cleaned daily, notjust the beds made and towels changedbut cleaned and hoovered, we did leave $1 tip on the bed every day.
The hotel has 24 hour security staff that patrol the complex and sit at the entrances to the carparks to check who is coming in. My Husband works for the police and he was very impressed with the security staff.
The hotel has a complimentary coach to Universal. There is an i-ride trolley stop right outside the hotel that takes you straight to the Premium Outlets and the Prime outlets for $1 each and kids ride free. The i-ride also takes you to Sea World (a must) where you can catch a Lynx bus to the Magic Kingdom for $1.50.
Would we stay at this hotel again?? DEFINATELY. It has an excellent location on International Drive, it's clean and the Staff are friendly. The rooms are quite basic but who goes to Orlando to sit in their hotel room all day!!!

Probably one of the busiest hotels on International Drive, the Quality Inn International does what it says on the tin. Its not posh, its not luxurious, but it doesn't pretend to be. I've stayed at this hotel probably 4 times now, and I'll definately be going back.

The hotel is set out in typical motel style, with most rooms being located in the two-storey blocks, and some in the four-storey blocks. There is ample parking around the hotel complex, though it you arrive back late at night, you might not get a space close to your room. For a lot of rooms there is parking right outside your door, but you can get unlucky and need to park in the large part of the car park, which may or may not be close to your room.

The rooms are comfy and clean, all come with large screen TVs, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, ironing board and iron. Most seem to be two double beds, with a small table and two chairs by the window. I've never had any complaints about the rooms, they've always been clean and tidy, and while the decour isn't the most modern I've ever seen, it doesn't really need to be.

Some rooms are showing a bit of wear and tear. Indeed on our most recent stay, one the of draw fronts fell off everytime you pulled it! They are small niggles though, and shouldn't put anyone off the hotel. They have security guards patrolling all night and day, and all the staff we came in to contact with were polite and friendly. We only ever ate breakfast at the on-site Apothecary restraunt, but again we had no complaints, the food was good and pleantiful, and the staff efficient and helpful. The hotel is close enough to a variety of other restraunts though, inluding a 24 hour McDonalds, so food is always available.
