On arrival we were told our room wasnt ready and though this was a bad start but the reception staff were very friendly and had the room ready exactly when they said they would (about an hour later).
The hotel has a small overpriced shop that sells the usual tourist tat as well as drinks and food (frozen pizzas and nachos). Use the 7 11 across the road or the wallgreens across the main crossroad as they are much cheaper. An example being bottles of water.
Hotel cost = about $2.20 a bottle
Wallgreens = 4.99 for 20 bottles
Didnt use the hotel restaurant but did look and smell nice.
Didnt use the hotel bar but in passing always looked dark and empty.
The hotel has a desk that sells tickets and allows you to arrange transfers which we didnt really use apart from one transfer to disney (17 dollars !!!!). I would advise not using the desk at all if the guy called Bob is working as he really is as a++hole. Told us he had seen our names on the list for a transferwe that we missed even though we were early then told us we hadnt even booked the shuttle. If hes working wait till hes not there and use another member of staff. 17 doallrs to disney is also a huge rip off as they are set times and locations that you cannot change and they WILL leave without you. Look for AJ who is always outside the hotels front grounds who changes 12 doallrs and is very flexible on locations etc.
The room was spotless with two double beds a new flat screen tv, fridge and microwave. The only negative to the whole room was the fridge was clean but really smelled inside. It really needed a good scrub or something. The aircon does make some noise but we slept with no probems at all.
Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the carpark / main road / motorway and we never heard any of them during our stay. We also never heard any other of the guests during our trip.
I would use the hotel again but would most likly ask for the fridge to be changed if it was the same. Duroing our trip other family members stayed at the international palms down the road which is apparently a better and more expensive hotel. I can honestly say quality in was much better value for money.
