“A week of Business in Orlando”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 12, 2011

Had the pleasure of staying at the Courtyar Mariott in Orlando by the airport the week of 8/29/11 - 9/2/11. It is very well located right by the airport yet you hear no airport noise. A multitude of restaraunts are at your doorstep and you're right next to FL 528 to get around to other parts of town. Hotel had a nice bistro on premesis wit breakfast and snack options as well as a bar. Service was very good. Watch the local gas prices though.

We stayed here for 1 night before a flight home after spending a week at a Disney World resort. We wanted to be close to the airport for an early morning flight so convenience was very important to us. The room was big and clean and had a patio door with parking right outside our room. The pool was great - we checked in at 8pm, and had the pool to ourselves. We'd use this hotel again for sure if we wanted to be close to the airport - the ride over was about 5 mins. Perfect!

No breakfast included but lots of restaurants nearby. Comfortable bed, NO wi-fi in my room, had to use wired. Hot tub was great, clean. Very close to airport. Had to wait one whole hour for shuttle pick up from the airport from when I called them. Could have walked there faster! Shuttle is free. Supposed to run every half hour from the hotel to the airport. Computers you can use in the main lobby, can print boarding passes for your flights, etc.

I have extensive experience with this hotel and several other Courtyards in the area.

We had 20 rooms for a company meeting and all the reviews were the similar...........

1) Uppon arrival I discovered the A/C was off but the fan was left on so the humidiy in the room was unbearable......the carpet and furniture were moist. The air in the hallways was also either turned down or not working .......

2) The next clue on quality was the note TAPED to the TV stating "we tried to repair it but we did not know how to"......... realy???

3) And the beast supprise of all.... as I sat down at the desk and opend my lap top and leaned back......WOSH..... head over heals I was on the floor.!! The back of the char was broked and this was not a new problem. It was odvious this had been this way for a while.

Uppon checkout I informed the front desk of the issues .... the reply was thank you...nothing more. It was as if these were standard issues and did not phase them at all. Not were sorry, nothing.... I was so supprised

My Wife and I stayed here on the 7th May 2011 and were delighted with the quality of the public areas and our room. We were on the second floor overlooking a very attractive garden and pool area. We were in the middle of the right hand wing and well shielded from both traffic and aircraft noise.
The location is perfect for getting the free shuttle to Orlando International in less than ten minutes.
There are restaurants within a five minute walk and we went to the TGI Friday's for lunch and dinner and enjoyed the food there.
Overall the "courtyard" is a very good, comfortable and economic hotel without the the expensive frills of some of it's sister hotels in the neghbourhood.

Room Tip: Try using the AAA/CAA membership rate when booking

We were flying out of Orlando early in the morning- about an hour drive from our home, and would need to park our car for 2 weeks, so we decided to look into park and fly options.
The Courtyard offered a 14 day park/1 night sleep deal which ended up costing approximately the same as we would have spent on airport parking alone.
Our room was clean and spacious, and the bedding was VERY comfortable. We planned to use the pool and hot tub, but it was storming, so we passed. They looked perfectly nice, though.
The airport shuttle from the hotel runs every half hour around the clock, and LOTS of people were waiting to get on, so we weren't able to board the shuttle we were waiting for...the desk clerk called for an immediate return, and we boarded another shuttle van less than 10 minutes later, and were taken directly to our departure area.
We took the hotel's phone number with us, called for a return shuttle from baggage claim, and the shuttle was there waiting for us when we reached its parking spot.
Pilots and flight attendants were riding with us to and from the Courtyard and its sister property, the Renaissance, so that's probably a good sign...experienced travelers seem to give this hotel the thumbs up, too.
We'd definitely do park and fly again in the future, and the Courtyard would be on the top of our list.

I recently spent a night at the Courtyard Orlando Airport and was a little underwhelmed. At the lobby check-in ...It tries to be a hip modern hotel but the layout is more like a movie theater with a fast food area off to your right across from the lobby. It is a three floor hotel and my room was on the second floor. You must go down a slight hallway then go down another longer hallway to get to the elevator. After a long day of work , i don' t want to wander aimlessly to find the elevator. Then my room was quite average and the balcony was a waste of space! The bathroom was average! No free breakfast ! A major selling point is easy walking access to several good restaurants and a five minute drive to the airport .
