“Great for a family of Sushiholics”
Reviewed June 4, 2011

I have 3 children (4-7-9) that all love sushi. Bikkuri is perfect for us. Reasonable prices and good sushi. Sure they may make some things a little different that the high end places but the fish is fresh and the staff is nice. That's all we need.

“Just not good”
Reviewed March 23, 2011

I wanted to like this place, unfortunately....it was not good. The prices were good although-you do get what you pay for. I ordered a special roll that was supposed to be some type of crab, cram cheese, and tempura bits. It was quite disgusting. There was some type of creamy sauce poured over the roll topped with rice crispies. Did not look good and did not taste good. The rolls were way too heavy on the rice which was not cooked properly. The place was also dirty. The table was sticky. The bathroom was not clean. I would not eat here again.

“The food was relatively cheap, even...”
Reviewed January 25, 2010

The food was relatively cheap, even cheaper if you make it for lunch or happy hour - 5 to 7 week nights. But the quality of the food is poor. In one make they list to have cream cheese and crispy tempura rice, which actually means some kind of sushi smothered in a cream cheese sauce-like substanceand then covered with rice crispy cereal. While comical, it was not delicious. The sashimi and kamichi cuts of fish were bad as well. To top it all off, the service was severely lacking and slooow. If you go, expect to wait, but is not b/c the food is good.

“Bikkuri Sushi - Worth the Trip!”
Reviewed August 8, 2009

We were staying about 1/2 hour from this sushi place but heard great things about it. They had completed an upstairs dining room in addition to the original downstairs spot. The decor was minimalistic but what mattered was the incredible dinner we were about to have. We started with warm sake - 2 for 1 before 7, Seaweed Salad and $1 Nigri. Then we explored the menu with 8 or 9 other different maki rolls. Totally fresh, totally yummy! Try the Volcano Roll and the Fried California Roll. My son had a great Ramen Noodle soup with a Miso Broth. Although it sounds like the 100 for a dollar things you get in the grocery store it was far from it. Totally wonderful.

We had a bill that looked like the table of contents of a book but it was all under 90 bucks for 5 people and trust me, it was a sushi boat load of fish!

Try it for yourselves. The area is a bit out of the way but it is worth the trip!
