This was a 4 night stay in Orlando to visit Disney, Busch Gardens and do some shopping. Unfortunately I never had the time to appreciate the facilities being offered at this resort but from what I have seen, it wouldn't disappoint.

Although this hotel is located on International Drive, it is situated all the way down the tranquil south end of I-drive away from the hustle and bustle. The resort is massive and ideally you will want to have a car however there is a bus stop at the entrance of the resort although if you are staying in one of the furthest building in the resort, you will be looking at a good 10-15 minutes walk to the bus stop.

The resort offers free parking, complimentary wifi throughout, pools, golf, tennis, fitness centre, BBQ/picnic area and the list is endless. There are also a number of restaurants on site.

I stayed in a 1 bedroom villa and the room offers a full size kitchen with dish washer, washer and dryer. There is a dining table, a large screen TV and sofa in the living area. The bathroom consists of his and hers wash basin and a walk-in shower. Complimentary toiletries are provided. The bedroom has a Jacuzzi, a big bed, ceiling fan and TV. There is a vertical in-room safe which will fit a netbook and iPad but anything bigger or thicker will not fit. A big balcony is also present in the room.

This is an excellent choice for a resort stay in Orlando with excellent friendly staff. You are only 5 mins away from the Premium Outlets at Vineland Avenue and 10 mins away from Downtown Disney.

Our family owns at the Marriot Surf Club in Aruba.... through Interval we had an extra certificate that was expiring and for a relatively small fee, could book this hotel among other Orlando properties for our Disney vacation. Never stayed off the Disney property before, but figured Grande Vista had decent reviews and well, its a Marriot Vacation Club resort. The setting of the hotel is pretty (there's a lovely looking golf course and a lake where you can rent recreational paddle boats, etc.) and its located about 3 minutes from Sea World and about 10-15 minutes from various Disney attractions. We arrived around 1:30 (check-in is at 4pm) and after a long day of travel, asked if our room was ready. They were kind enough to let us check-in at that time. We arrived in our room located in the main building where the reception is located. View of the parking lot and a small view of a section of the main pool from the master bedroom's balcony. The furnishings are OK- but the room shows major wear and tear. Soils all over the carpets and the jacuzzi tub area is tiled with mismatched tiles that clearly were never replaced when they did the last update (which must have been a while ago). In the room, the beds are comfortable. Main pool is OK in appearance - loud music was blasting so we actually had to head to the kiddie pool for some peace and quite. Imagine that! In addition, there is no waitress/waiter service to provide refreshments poolside. Rather, you have to go place orders at the pool bar. Also, no modifications are permitted on your order (I asked for fish on a caesar salad rather than chicken- they have a fish sandwich on the menu- and was told no changes are allowed). Food at the pool was not good at all. We also learned that there is NO housekeeping service provided during a one week stay! Ample towels were made available upon request by housekeeping. Another issue I feel compelled to report is that the water in the bathrooms (shower/bathtub/sinks) has a very strong and sewage-like smell that I have never encountered anywhere before. On-site restaurants - We had one breakfast at the The Grande Grill on site (at the golf course). The food was OK with one major exception. The berries served on the side of my omelette had not been washed. In addition, the restaurant itself needs some refurbishing. Breakfasts with the characters at Disney have been much more enjoyable. Staff was friendly and accommodating, very apologetic when one of our ordered items came out wrong. Overall, I would not come rushing back by any means. The hotel was fine as a home base when we were going to be at Disney all day long but now that its storming here we are less than thrilled. If you are considering exchanging your Marriot Vacation Club week for a week at this hotel, beware - its not worth it!

This was our second visit to this resort and it was even better than the first. The location and facilities are excellent. We were a large party of 4 adults and 5 children ranging from 6-17 and it has something for everyone. We own Marriott Vacation Club in Europe and I do not think the apartments are quite as nice, however, they are still large, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. What makes this resort stand out from any other we have stayed at is the staff. Everyone was so friendly and couldn't do enough to help. My daughter was very upset when she dropped and smashed her iPad. Within minutes one of the waiters, Ryin, had printed off details of where it could be repaired locally and saved the day. While all staff were great, this guy was so attentive and very patient with 5 fickle kids. Check out his singing - awesome!

Room Tip: If you want two bedrooms, ask for the two room units rather the 1 bed plus lock off room as they see...

Staff ,room and resort all excellent, The view from our room was great and the resort was busy but you never felt inclosed as there was loads of room and sunbeds at the pool. They had the usual happy hour and the food was of good quality. The reception staff were brilliant and could not do enough for us, we had a problem with the room whirlpool but that was fixed straight away. We had a problem on the last day, which did ruin it a little bit ,which involved drunk guests and that did let the place down as we felt security were useless, and im sure the bar staff feeding the drunk more drinks didnt help the situation,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,however i rate this place and would recomend a stay

This is our 2nd stay here and it seems to get better with every visit! I can't begin to explain the friendliness of the staff here. From the folks that check you in to workers who come to clean your room, to the guards at the gate who check to make sure you are a guest upon returning to the resort. EVERYONE has a pleasant demeanor, smile on their faces and is willing to go the extra mile for you when you need/ask for something. My family and enjoy staying here as it offers something for everyone (while being very family friendly) and has lots of things to do right on the beautiful resort grounds. It is literally 2 mins from sea world and conveniently close to Disney and local interstates and shopping. My family and I will continue to come to this wonderful resort as long as we continue to receive the wonderful service we have on our previous visits. If you are looking for a place where you and your family can have the comforts of home in a beautiful setting but not have to deal with the noise and hustle of other resorts then the Marriott Grand Vista is the place for you!

Never fails to live up to its fabulous reputation.
My only gripe is Nicks Grill, it just isnt worth the money ( its very pricey ) the quality of the food could and should be better.
Copa Loca and The Cove are better, serving up reasonably priced meals.
Everything else about the resort is great.

Room Tip: Any high floor will have amazing views and beautiful sunsets.

We are currently staying at this resort & this place is very nice! From the moment we arrived, everyone has been super nice & helpful. The staff here is the best & the service they provide is top notch!

The resort is huge & very well maintained. We always saw service people out mowing the lawns or tidying up the area.

We loved the pool areas & also enjoyed the pool bars! They have activities for everyone during the days & also during the evenings. They give you a schedule at check-in with all the activities, so make sure you check some of them out.

We had a one bedroom villa & it was very spacious for the two of us. It has every comfort of home, plus a washer & dryer...very convenient!

The resort is in a very nice location & close to restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations & just about everything else you would need. It's about 10 minutes to Universal & about 15 minutes to Disney.

I would highly recommend this resort & we will definitely be coming back!
