My family and I visited the Marriott Grand Vista on April 17, 2000 to April 24, 2000. We had a wonderful time during our stay there. The Marriott is a great place to stay in Orlando. The Marriott Grand Vista was well organized, the rooms were clean & had a beautiful pool or should I say pools. If you stay at the Marriott Grand Vista, try to get a room near the lobby because if you are far from the front you will have to walk a long way to go to the main pool. The other complexes have pools too but all the activities are at the main pool which is an amazing pool. At lunch time they played games in the pool for the little kids and there were sometimes shows at night. The Pina Coladas and Strawberry Daquiries were great there. We were there for Easter so there was an Egg hunt for the children. They also had little motorized boats for a relaxing ride and view. For activities they had bicycles for two or four people which were a lot of fun. The staff and the animators were really friendly. The grounds & exterior buildings were beautiful. So enjoy your stay and hope I helped!!

Just returned from our stay at the Grande Vista and felt compelled to write a review. Want to say firstly, many thanks to all those who take the time to write in and relay their opinions. We relied heavily on the reviews of the Grande Vista before deciding on accomodation. This resrt is absolutely fantastic! From the winding palm tree entrace to the immpecable customer service our stay was everything we had hoped for.
We stayed in building #80 which is the main building on the resort. we have three kids (8,7 and 3) and wanted the convenience of the ammenities close buy as well as close access to the main pool. In building 80 is the Marketplace store (offers everything you would want from grocery to drinks (kids and adults) as well as a Pizza Hut and made to order sandwiches. Everything can be paid cash or billed to your room. The other services are located close to the main building as well (Lighthouse Bar, kids activites etc). The main pool is wonderful and the kids enjoyed it as much as the parks. The chairs around the pool fill up quickly however and my advice would be to have someone from your room head down with towels (which you can get from the front desk free of charge) early ( i went at 7:30 to 8 and wasn't the first there) to reserve some chairs around the pool. They also have large , portable umbrellas that can be rolled to your desired location (highly recommended if you have young kids in the pool and want to stay at poolside but also want some shade.) Also, you do not have to buy drinks from the poolside bar (at bit pricey even at happy hour 3- 6...5-7 $ for a frozen drink). I took a cooler down in the morning loaded with juice, water and drinks for the adults :) Bags of ice are free from the Marketplace (beside the pool). Ours room was exceptional with newly appointed paint and furniture. We had a two bedroom unit which offer plenty of room for our party of six (parents, kids and grandma). Check out the planner of activites they give you at check in. Anyway, great time had by all and plan to retunr next year. Please email if you have any questions at jarms@rogers.com.

My husband & I recently spent 4 days here without our kids & had a fabulous time. It is centrally located and is within 5-15 minutes to every theme park attraction. The golf course is beautiful & very well maintained. The main pool is wonderful and even has a "sandy beach" area overlooking the lake. There are two other pools on property, we only went to the one near our building and it was very pleasant with a great hot tub area. The resort gave us a complimetary portrait as a souvenier and even though they made us aware of the vacation ownership opportunities available (by voice mail message) they never "pushed" the issue to go through a presentation. We had a studio room which consisted of a king bed & a pull out sofa area w/compact supplied mini kitchen (Microwave & refrigerator) and it was very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and this included everyone from housekeeping to the gate attendants. They had many recreational items available for rentals, we saw swan & duck boats, paddleboats, tandem & double tandem bikes etc. Families were enjoying them everywhere. When I return to Orlando with my children I will certainly stay here again as well as to suggest this facility to all my family and friends.

We went to that resort last Fall Me, my wife two girls 3 and 8 months and my parents. We all enjoy it. Personally I like kind off personal pools with hot spas. My kids just love them they spent most of the time by them. Location is great, my wife loved souroundings. We are definettly will be back. Plus we bought it for $700 from eBay you can't beat that prise for a whole week of fun with your family in 2 bedroom unit with full kitchen and jakuzzi. Go there and have fun. Don't worry about small things, just enjoy your time off.
