“awesome for families”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

This place is great for couples too, but we have children and want you to know families can come here and not leave the property at all if you don't want to. There's so many wonderful activities - scavenger hunt, smores, crafts - you're never bored no matter what age you are.

Super clean, all upgraded and beautiful amenities, beautiful pools, crazy spa tub in 1-2 BR villas which are like apartments with washer/dryer and full kitchens. Adults and children are in heaven. Thank you Grande Vista for never disappointing us.

I stayed here with my family of 5 (children ages 8, 14 & 16) even after reading some negative reviews. I guess it depended upon what building your condo was located. We had a first floor two-bedroom. There was enough space and sleeping areas that each of us could've had our own bed (I think we ended up doing this at least one or two nights! LOL!). I personally loved having a washer and dryer right there in the kitchen area. With five people and taking trips back and forth to The Parks, even in the rain, this came in handy. The room had modern amenities for the most part. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and utensils as well as the "bar kitchen". This was a great plus, too, having a mini fridge, extra sink and more glasses and dishes to use. The bathrooms had plenty of towels and we really loved having two patio areas which gave us a beautiful view of a plush wooded area and part of the golf course. We utilized the gym facilities in the registration center and were happy with what was offered and the kids enjoyed the ice cream shop as well. Stay here and you will not be disappointed.

We stayed here last October and were in block 83. We had a three bedroom timeshare which was in fact two apartments which shared a common entrance. It was perfect. Our daughter had the studio room which could have slept 4(one bed and one sofa bed) as well as kitchenette. My husband and I with the two boys ad the two bedroom apartment. Brand new everything and immaculate. By having a private door in to the vestibule area of the apartment we were able to leave shoes, pool gear, bags etc out of the way.
Pool great with additional towels which we also took off site and returned after water parcs.
Ice cream/ sweet shop handy and can be charged to room as can pizza parlour. Shop had ll you'd need but we dd drive and stock up at Walmart the first morning while the kids slept... We were up by 5am (time difference which teenagers didn't seem to suffer from!)
I used spa to get nails done. Staff lovely but by no means luxurious. Perfect for what I needed.
Didn't go near front desk whole time, no sales calls either. Beautiful and immaculate resort with friendly staff, including housekeeping and ground staff. Definitely going back. Booked for Oct 13.

Room Tip: We were top floor but as there were lifts this wasn't a problem and meant lovely view. Think we...

Great Place! The Villa's are very nice and lots of room.

However the 8AM wakeup sales call didn't go over well with me. And the construction above us didn't help on the trying to relax and sleep in. Overall the property is great. This just really upset me and will be contacting Marriott to bring it to someone's attention. I could have thought they could wait till we returned home for the sales pitch.

Room Tip: Take the phone off the hook. Or ask that they do not call.

We stayed for a week and from the moment we drove in until the last drive out we were impressed. The grounds were magnificent, beautiful fountains and a lake, multiple swimming pools located close by the rooms, finely manicured landscaping, and very friendly workers. We enjoyed our daily swims, restaurants on site and convenience to the attractions in Orlando. Highly recommend this resort. We will definitely return in the future.

This is such a pretty resort with a lake and paddle boats, clean pools and all the amenities. We stayed in a two bedroom suite which was clean and spacious. The Grande Vista is minutes away from universal and Disney. Whether you want to stay on the property or explore Orlando, this is a great place to stay.

We had 2 units (2 bedrooms each) for our family and our daughter-in-law's family...11 in all and had a wonderful stay. We were in Bldg 90, close to a smaller pool which was nice since it was not so crowded. The grills were new and the units had been recently refurbished and were very nice. The beds were very comfortable and the units had everything we needed. We spent a lot of time in the parks, but rainy afternoons brought us indoors. Cell phone service in the units was a problem. None of us could get a signal inside and had to go out on the deck or front to make calls. High speed internet in the units was great, but you have to sign in and re-register each day which is a pain. We are owners at Grande Vista as well as another Marriott resort and love it. This is our 4th time at Grande Vista since the grandkids love the theme parks in Orlando.

Room Tip: We prefer ground floor rooms for easy of entry, but the views are not as good.
