Due to a terrible experience with the Holiday Inn Express , I checked in at 3am . Checking in via a
window not a front desk . When we went to our room in the back , it was it was like 3 in the afternoon! there was a large group out drinking and being noisy. We were so tired we just went to bed even with the party going on outside. Next morning there was NO hot water at all . When I checked out the front desk clerk gave no apologies after telling him my concerns. They know you'll
never come back there anyway so why care. ( or even pretend to care) . There seems to be a lot of "long term" guests at this hotel. 2/27/14

A friend and mine stayed here in November. When we got the room, there was a line to wait in. While we were waiting a lady approached by 13 year old son as she had had a fight with her boyfriend, and was obviously drunk. The person at the counter never said anything to the women, we couldn't wait to get to our room. We were suppose to have been upgraded to a suite as all the regular rooms were booked. We asked for nonsmoking, when we got to the room it smelled of smoke. We went back up front, and they gave us another room, which appeared to be a bit better. We went to sleep, the room was so cold I put the heater on. We woke up to the smell of smoke. Not to mention when my friend went to get a shower there was no hot water, and also the door handle broke. When we checked out, we explained all this as we didn't want to be charged for incidentals. The lady told us that any incidents need to be reported at the time they happen in order to receive a refund. We explained that some of this stuff, we noticed at 3am and we were trying to sleep as we both had work the next day.
I am one to give a place a benefit of the doubt as far as service. We went back for New Year's, there sign clearly stated they had standard rooms and the rate. When we got to the counter, we found out it was not true. The gentleman told us that they had rooms and had the best rate available in Orlando. We decided to go and eat, and i checked some other hotels online. We contacted expedia, and got a hotel for $50.00, as days inn wanted about $150.00, I was not going to pay that rate when it was 9pm and we were checking out at 6am. So now we end up going to the best western, where we are always given a discounted rate on top of the aaa discount.
