I appreciate you for taking the time out of your day to give us great feedback from your recent stay with us. I am happy to see we provided you great service and our rooms were clean and fresh. We are very fortunate to be surrounded by so many restaurants, outlets, malls and many other attractions to see. In regards to the pool being small and overcrowded is the first I have heard. The pool is 25,000 gallon pool with a large deck. Either way I apologize that is was overcrowded. When you return to Orlando, we hope to have the opportunity to deliver a great experience. It will be an honor for us to serve you again!
We booked out weekend getaway through AAA as a Universal Studios package. First off we arrived about 9am thinking we would drop our luggage off and take the advertised shuttle to Universal. No one informed us that there is only one shuttle that leaves at 820 am and then a pick up from Universal Studios at about 8 I think? Nothing in between. So we ended up paying for parking because who wants to walk over a mile to get back to your hotel after walking in the park all day? Then the breakfast was scary looking. The waffle makers had dried up batter, the eggs looked like plastic doll food, the bread was hard and juice was warm. All together it was gross. We were told to leave our bags in this room that was locked in the lobby but no name tags. So really anyone could grab anything from there as long as they said they placed luggage in there. Now about the rooms.. The carpet was dull and old looking. The bathroom was small and the tub had rust rings around the drain. The beds were hard and only had three pillows each on a queen bed. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable. We were disturbed by people making noise in the hall constantly opening and closing the door. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Very disappointed
I would like to thank this guest for leaving comments about their stay with our property, but wish they had brought the issues they experienced to our attention rather than waiting to post a comment on the internet. Our goal is to not only meet the needs of each and every guest we serve, but to exceed your expectations to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. I would like to address couple of your issues and comments about my hotel. We are a Universal Partnered Hotel and one of the advantages of being a partnered hotel is that we offer a free shuttle every day. AAA knows we offer a free shuttle and they did tell you correctly. Universal owns and operates the shuttle, which currently is scheduled 2 times in the morning and returns two times in the evening for guest complimentary transport. They do change the pickup and drop off times, but this has been a feature of the hotel for the past 6 years. I sincerely apologize that you were not able to ride the free shuttle. In regards to the breakfast we have updated several new items and we are current with the Wingate by Wyndham brand standards. This ranges from the juices to all food items. I find it hard to believe the waffle batter was dried up as it is almost a liquid. Unfortunately I cannot deviate from the brand standards of what to purchase for my guest. I will also speak to my vendor to see if we can upgrade some items. We also order from a local bakery that delivers on daily basis fresh muffins, bread, various fruit turnovers & danishes, and other items. We have many other breakfast items, besides what I mentioned above. I understand about the carpet and you correct. We will be doing a extensive remodel of the hotel this year. Overall I am sorry about your stay and hoped I was able to address all the concerns. I want to be honest with you, if your stay was not up to your standards, I would have done my best to find you another accommodation to suit your needs. It is hard for me to help you if you do not mention this during your stay and waiting then to post it on the internet. It is my job to make sure your vacation is as pleasurable as possible and if my hotel does not make you happy, I will find you one that will. It is our hope that you will give us another opportunity to serve you. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience during your stay and hope to see you during your next visit.
