“Good location for Universal”

This is a good no frills accomodation in a great location almost opposite Wet n Wild.Clean with good sized rooms and comfortable beds.In room fridge and microwave which we found useful and free room safe.
25 minutes walk to Universal studios, just turn left out of the hotel on to I drive to the first set of traffic lights then left again onto Universal Boulevard, follow the footpath which takes you there.
I ride stops outside the hotel and it's great value if you buy the14 day pass.Ponderosa across the road is good for all you can eat breakfast and loads of other eating places within a few minutes walk.

Room Tip: Room 930 top floor corner room which looks right down International Drive, this room also has a quee...

This was the third time we stayed on International Drive and would do so again at this very hotel. The hotel was clean and well presented in a prime location near to all parks (car needed for Disney but only a short drive). The rooms were spacious and comfortable as were the beds and they were cleaned every day. We had two ground floor rooms near the pool but never heard any noise, if you want to move rooms just ask, we thought about it but decided to stay where we were. The staff were friendly and helpful as most American service staff appear to be. We used the "Lite bite" dinning area for breakfast and light meals and they were good, the only down side was breakfast in the stay warm server unit didn't stay warm so go early. There are plenty of other eating establishments in walking distance.
The A/C unit was a little noisy and bothered the wife but not me and you will need it in summer.
All in all a very pleasant experience.

This was the perfect place for our trip. It's not fancy, but it's very comfortable. The room was very clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet (only $6 per adult!) and our young one ate for free, a big savings. The pool was wonderfully warm so we were able to enjoy it even though the weather was breezy and cool. The only downside was a set of noisy neighbors on one night (the connecting door lets lots of noise through) and some people smoking on our floor. We called the front desk regarding the smoking, so I assume they checked it out. The free shuttle service worked well for us. The location was very convenient as well. We would absolutely stay here again

The best thing about the hotel is the location. On International Drive, very close to Universal Resort (so close we walked 20 min. back to the hotel one night), restaurants and other attractions. There is also a free shuttle service to Universal that you can take.
The Lynx buses stops right in front of the hotel, which made it very easy for us since it was our main transportation.
We had breakfast included in our reservation and ate every morning at the Palms. The buffet was very good: pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, fruit. We had no complaints about it.
The room was big enough to be comfortable, nice flat screen TV, desk, but the bathroom is rather small.
I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone I know.

Just got back from a fab two week holiday in Orlando. The Rosen Inn offers a perfect location on International Drive to use as a base for your holiday. The hotel was clean, the beds unbelievably comfortable, the staff were helpful and friendly. The I-ride stops outside hotel which is perfect for getting around International Drive. The hotel offers a shuttle service which is free to Universal and Seaworld but all Disney shuttles cost 18$ return per person, expensive when there's a few of you. We used a local shuttle service called AJ shuttle ( one of there drivers was handing out leaflets on International Drive) who charge 10$ per person return to Disney. It was perfect with a choice of times to go and come back and very reliable. Our driver was called James and we would highly recommend him to other people. The service was cheap but most importantly reliable. We would definitely stay at The Rosen Inn again.

My twelve-year-old daughter and I enjoyed our stay at the Rosen Inn closest to Universal during the middle of March, 2013. The rooms were clean, the towels were surprisingly fluffy for a mid-range hotel, the beds were comfortable as well as safely encased to prevent any unwanted pests (sorry, we check wherever we go since a friend came back from Florida with those dreaded pests), the sheets were crisp white, and the cover was a very light down blanket. We requested a room away from the ice machines and lifts, and that's what we got. We thought it was perfectly quiet. If you like having a mini fridge (not the mini-bar kind), a small microwave, and a coffee maker, those are also in the room. We didn't use, but we thought that had we stayed longer we might have. The breakfast buffet was better than I've seen at some of the best hotels on both coasts. Fresh fruit, a variety of hot items, as well as pastries, and the like. Nothing was old or dried out (eggs on a buffet can get that way but these were not)--all looked and tasted great. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly at the desk, in the dining room, at the "Universal" desk (tickets for things, shuttle passes), and even the shuttle drivers were cheerful. There's a free shuttle to Universal, although we walked it once and it was a pleasant, 20 minute walk. (The hotel is well positioned on I-Drive and is across the street from a huge water park--convenient for those who love water parks). Lots of other entertainment, shopping, and restaurants up and down the Drive. The hotel is a "Universal Partner," which means early admission to the park is included ("Islands of Adventure," which has The Wizarding World, opens an hour before regular Universal).

Nice pool area, although we didn't indulge because when we came home from the park, we basically showered and went straight to bed.

I admit I was a little wary when I booked a budget (even though that's what I was looking for this time around), but the hotel turned out to be just fine and in many ways very, very nice. The decor was a little late 90s or early 2000s in look, but the furniture and bedding looked brand new, even if it was a slightly older style.

Take the Super Shuttle to get from the airport to the Rosen--it's just 32.00 round trip per person. That beats the van-called-limousine that was recommended by quite a bit. And enjoy!

Room Tip: We were in the middle along the pool side. One evening we could hear the kids playing in the pool...
