Very good place to stay with family when experiencing attractions in the area. Pros -Restaurant service was great. Front desk was knowledgeable. Rooms are a bit dated, but the extra sink outside the bathroom is a plus. 1 con - elevators need work.

This was our second time staying at this hotel. We picked it again because we had such a great experience the first time. It is very clean and comfortable. The staff was always eager to help and housekeeping did a great job as well. You have to have yoyr room key to get in the hotel from the pool and side door which makes me and my family feel really safe. It is walking distance to shops and WetnWild is right down the street. We had a great view as well. We will be staying there again. Great job Best Western. Keep it up!!!

Not even up to the standards of a regular Best Western.
A $3.50 resort fee despite being pre-paid.
A $50 hold for incidentals, no breakfast, no wifi
Small and uncomfortable beds...
Decent location if your going to Universal, or the water park, but
not if your just passing through.

Ok - so you get what you pay for... it was £45.00 per night. We were booked for 15 nights. The first room (536) was grubby, threadbare carpet and generally in a poor state of repair. We were too tired to move after we had checked in and unpacked. After speaking with reception, the next morning we were upgraded to a suite (332) which was very spacious and much better VFM.
We only ate in the restaurant the first night we came. IT was AWFUL. The whole areas was sticky and dirty, the food was greasy and just YUK, the staff were also very very complacent and rude. Everytime we walked past in the two weeks we were there were never more than a handful of people using the bar / restaurant.
A MASSIVE improvement would be an outside undercover area by the pool where you could have a drink whatever the weather with some bar snacks. We would have really enjoyed this, instead when we were not out and about we were in our air-conditioned hotel room with no where to go for a snack or drink. No balcony to enjoy the nice evening temperature.
The pool looked nice, but with no amenities locally we did not bother to use it. We did not want to have to take our own drink and snacks down.
6 months earlier we stayed in a beautiful house in Windsor Hills ( found on trip advisor.) We would definitely do this again if we returned. The Villas and amenities are excellent VFM compared to the same money for hotels, but someone has to be prepared to drive.

We made our second visit to Best Western Gateway plus. Found it to be very good again. Our last visit was in 2011. My grandson loved the pool and made friends from England. A member of the staff found us a great upgrade when we arrived early due to our flight. The hotel has a great location, a mile from Universal and right across the street from Wet'n Wild.

We stopped here for 4 days 3 nights on our way to the keys. We got a package deal with our tickets included. We thought it was a good hotel for the value. The rooms were a little dated and the air was not cold, comfortable , but not cold. The pool area was great and it offered tennis and basketball courts. It was perfect for getting to the parks. Ate in the restaurant for breakfast. Nice little Buffett and decent prices. Would stay again.

Thank you for your recent stay at our hotel and for taking the time to give us your thoughts. I was pleased that you enjoyed your breakfast with us it certainly is a good value!

Thanks for mentioning our pool area with the basketball and tennis courts, lots of our guest certainly enjoy those two added amenities. Although the A/C was comfortable in your room, I'll have our maintenance department look into it to make sure that it is working correctly.

Again, thank you for your review and we hope to see you again soon when you return to the Orlando area.

Sincerely,

Bill Jones

My family stayed for a week here at Best Western Plus Gateway. For the value, it was a nice place. A little dated, but I would return. The a/c didnt cool well, but it kept the room comfortable. The staff was very attentive and friendly. It was close to the area attractions that we could get to anything within 15-20 minutes. Nice pool area, half basketball court, hot tubs, tennis court, arcade, free internet and restaurant and small store that had wonderul cakes.

I just wanted to take the time to thank you for your recent stay with us and for taking the time out of your busy day to review our hotel. I will pass on your kind comments to our staff. As you mentioned, we certainly are close to all the fun things to do in Orlando.

The wonderful cakes that you mentioned are available in our full service Deli and are amazing, my favorite is the carrot cake.

Again, thanks for your review and we hope to see you again in the near future!

Sincerely,

Bill Jones
