“Good Value plus location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 21, 2011

My wife, brother and sister-in-law stayed at the hotel while visiting Orlando.
It is right across the street from Downtown Disney and conveniently located for getting to all of the Orlando attractions.
The rooms were comfortable and clean.
Making the reservations over the phone we were able to take advantage of our Costco discount. We paid $91.99 and were told that if we wanted the breakfast we should pay when we get to the hotel, which was much cheaper than getting the breakfasts included in the price of the room. Now that kind of customer service is good all the way around. We will be using this hotel again the next time we have visitors that want to go to Orlando.

This is very hard to review. If I was going on my first impressions and experience I would give a rating of zero to one. If I was rating my final impression I would give five so I guess a rating of three overall is fair - let me explain!
We booked our accommodation through Virgin Holidays in the UK. After reading some reviews on trip advisor I was a little concerned as we had booked a standard room and some of the reviews said these rooms were in an annexe to the hotel and not in the main tower - you had better believe it!
The main hotel lobby and reception area is very swish - like a 5 star hotel - and then you are sent off in the direction of what I can only describe as a prison building with outside landings which are right next to the car park with no view at all. There are a warren of tunnels underneath them which you have to walk through and they are strewn with rubbish and undesirable looking people sitting around mumbling into cell phones. You get the impression it is not the place you would like to be after dark - I was feeling quite vulnerable.
I went back to reception and asked if any other rooms were available. We had to pay an extra $20 per room per night but we were in a different world!. We had a Disney view room on the 18th floor and it was fantastic. Flat screen TV, 2 really comfortable double beds, full size fridge and the best thing was the view - right over Downtown Disney and at night we had a great view of the fireworks at Epcot - didn't even have to move out of bed to see them. So beware and check which type of room you will be getting before you go.
Just have to mention Lawrence the concierge who was fantastic. We asked him where we could go to see the space shuttle launch. He went out of his way to contact his friend, print us out a map with GPS directions to a park in Titusville and we had a great time hanging out with local people in a local park and we had a great view of the shuttle take off - awesome!

The hotel had excellent facilities and was centrally located with bus service to the Disney Parks and free parking. The staff was exceptional, professsional, and courteous. Knowing that we were celebrating a special event, we arrived to find a free room upgrade with a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket and chocolate covered strawberries waiting in the room.

As great as the property is, the staff are the real shinning stars in epitominzing the meaning of hospitality at every level. Of special mention is Wislane, the 19th floor room attendant during our stay. It was nice to start each morning with the her kind greetings and wonderful smile. As often as we've travelled, we have rarely experienced such welcoming kindness from support staff.

this hotel is very clean, very staff friendly, and extremely close to all the attractions of Disney. located on Disney property, it is literally across the street from Downtown Disney's entrance ( a 5 minute walk and you are in Downtown Disney). free shuttles run to the parks every 1/2 hour and run all day. the rooms are small but clean and we only slept there. the pool area is fine, but nothing extravagant. if you are looking for a resting place to come back to each day after spending time in the parks, this is the perfect spot for the money and the location. we did have a slight problem with our room the first night and the staff, especially manager James, did everything in his power to make us comfortable including moving us to a new room. the restaurant at the hotel is very basic, with a buffet style menu. food was good and gave us a great start to the day. there is a 24 hour store that serves pizza, pre made sandwiches and snacks that is very useful after getting back late from the parks. i would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for the "parks" experience and not the resort experience. it is a perfect place to sleep, eat, and get started on your adventures at Disney, Downtown Disney, or SeaWorld.

I just came from staying there with friends and this hotel was nothing more than a Days Inn under a Wyndham sign. Let me explain, yes their is valet parking and the lobby is renovated, beautiful and looks like it belongs to a luxury hotel and that's as far as the luxury goes.
For the record, we did not have a "tower" room but a room that ended up on the first floor facing outside and facing a parking lot. Getting there required you to go through the hotel's "basement" very weird from the lobby elevator. I swear, there are two hotels here - 1) a motel section (where we stayed I guess) 2) the actual hotel which are the towers. Our "section" looked like a Days Inn, literally, The rooms looked like renovated motel rooms, small but very clean though. It was too small to have 2 queen beds so they have 2 full beds. Yes they have a flat screen in the room too. The bed linens were very nice though, nice pillows (4 per bed) and the mattress was reasonably comfortable but not a "luxury" pillowtop or anything like that. Small "generic" looking bathrooms with hair dryers and nice fluffy towels. The rooms are very well kept, always kept clean - no issues there.
The best part of this motel/hotel is location and service. It's literally 2 minutes from Downtown Disney walking. All the staff are very nice and very helpful including the shuttle bus drivers who take you to the parks.
So bottom line, a confusing place to stay - we all left thinking where did we actually stay at?

Me and my family stayed here over Spring Break and had such a wonderful experience at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista. It is in a very convenient location and within walking distance to Downtown Disney. I will start with the pool area as it was very nice and had two good size pools and a hot tub. Also the pool bar was a big plus. The food there was yummy and the drinks were just as yummy!! The pool area included additional activities for the kids and there was a massage therapist there everyday offering back massages for a great price. We stayed in the outdoor motel like rooms which I was a little skeptical after reading other reviews. I was pleasanlty surprised as our room was clean, nice and cozy and the beds were comfortable and they do give you lots of pillows. Staff was friendly and always helpful. It was another big plus to have breakfast with Goofy and Pluto at the resort as I couldn't imagine waiting in lines at the parks to do so. I will definitely stay here again. I would also suggest renting a car even though the shuttle busses take you to the parks. Cost for parking at the parks is reasonable and the parking pass is good at all parks for that day. Eat at Rain Forest Cafe at Downtown Disney! Totally worth the wait.
