Club Level Experience

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Mar 23, 2019via mobile
Traveling with 3 kids (10,12 & 14), we really enjoyed the amenities with the Club level. A quick breakfast before the parks and some appetizers and a glass of wine in the evening (before heading back to the parks!) was worth the extra cost. The kids could grab unlimited soda and we enjoyed small
desserts a few evenings. A great experience and the Polynesian is one of
The best resorts to watch the fireworks outside the MK and easy to get to all parks!!

The public spaces could use a bit of a refresh, but overall great experience!!

Club level at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort sounds like a dream come true! I’m so happy you enjoyed the convenience and amenities this level offers. Also, I totally agree—this Resort is one of the best in terms of location. You can’t beat fireworks from the beach and being able to take a quick monorail ride directly to Magic Kingdom Park. It’s absolutely incredible! Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Have a magical day!

I could not have been more underwhelmed by our stay at the Polynesian. Considering that it is a ‘luxury’ hotel and is one of the priciest locations at Disney, I had very high expectations and was sure that everything would be flawless. I was very wrong. Everything about this resort needs work. It feels as if no money has been invested for 10-15 years, and it’s not like this hotel contains outdated luxury - it contains outdated mediocrity. The rooms are decorated in a very bland fashion, the carpets (both in the room and the hallways) are worn and dirty, there’s a $10 coffee maker in the room with cheap, dry creamer powder and awful ground coffee, the bars and restaurants in the main building are dated and worn out, etc, etc. We paid over $600 / night for our room but it honestly felt like we should have paid $150/night. Obviously we’re also paying for the convenience of the location, access to the park, and the monorail, but it’s no where CLOSE to $600/night. I think Walt Disney would shudder when he walked into our room and saw how sad and decrepit it was, and he would wonder why the imagineers had forgotten about this place. Maybe I’m spoiled because I visited Hawaii once and I know how an authentic South Pacific resort feels, but I mean come on the is DISNEY! Everything is supposed to be perfect, if not beyond perfect. Although the most baffling thing to me is how so many other people gave this resort five stars... maybe we were placed into the one room that hasn’t been updated since 1997? Who knows... can’t expect that we’ll ever come back to find out.

From the moment you first walk into the Great Ceremonial House to the moment you’re winding down for the night in your room, our goal is to envelop you in the warm and welcoming spirit of the islands. I’m truly sorry to hear this was not the case during your recent visit, especially in regard to the in-room décor and amenities. These items are carefully selected with the intention of delivering that Deluxe Resort experience, and I’m disappointed to hear they weren’t a hit with you. We take all of our Guests’ feedback earnestly, so please know I’ll personally share your experience with the appropriate Resort Leadership team.

Thank you for taking a moment to review your visit. No matter which Resort you choose for your next stay with us, we hope to see you again soon.

We stayed Club Level so our experience was a little different from standard rooms. CL is located in the Hawaii building, and it has his own concierge team and manager. Everyone is super attentive and will do anything they can to assist you. The room is quite large and very clean. We stayed on the 1st floor looking at the quiet pool and gardens. The patio has two seats and a small table, but plenty of room to pace or sit and relax. Terrycloth robes and slippers in the closet! Lots of bathroom amenities that aren't necessarily offered at other hotels, such as hydrating face cream, sunscreen, aloe and other things. The beds are extremely comfortable. You practically melt into them. I personally have a tough time falling asleep if I'm not in my own bed, but these beds allowed me to fall asleep fast. The CL lounge has comfy chairs and benches. Food offerings are put out 4 times a day and vary. To be honest, the amount of food served doesn't exactly make up for the cost, but it is what it is if you're staying at a Deluxe resort CL in Disney World. This was our second stay and given the opportunity and finances, we would definitely stay again.

Room tip: I always vote for the 1st floor!

I'm so glad you truly enjoyed your time at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Laura! There are so many reasons to fall in love with this beautiful place from the moment you enter the Great Ceremonial House to the moment you leave. From comfy beds to amazing service, this Resort has it all! Beyond the Club Level offerings, I hope you also took the time to experience some of the other delicious food and beverage locations this Resort has to offer; my personal favorite is Trader Sam's Grog Grotto for its unique atmosphere and scrumptious appetizers!

Thank you for taking the time to so thoroughly describe your experience, particularly your room! We can't wait to say "aloha" and welcome you back for another relaxing stay soon!

This restaurant was amazing. No wonder it is so popular. The food and the service was fabulous. Loved the desert. My husband loved the steak that they brought round. To top the night we were able to watch the fireworks from where we were sat.

Mahalo for this review of 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort! Dinner at 'Ohana is probably my favorite dining experience at all of Walt Disney World, so I'm thrilled you and your family were able to experience it! I'm getting hungry just thinking about the 'Ohana Bread Pudding à la mode!

Thanks for being a part of our 'ohana - we can't wait to welcome you back for another topical getaway soon!

One Fantastic Magical Hotel. ON the Monorail. Superb Accommodative Staff.
Great amenity activities for accompanied children. Great Food...according to your food.plans. All that you read about, concerning the Disney Experience ! ..is true.
Accommodative: yes. Expensive: yes; Worth the memories: yes.
Of Note:
1. Accommodations’ Buidings Closer to the Main House are a bit weathered compared to newer units. Offset by the Proximity to dining, pools, monorail. ( Less walking ! )
2. They accommodated all 16 of us, 4 families, in TwoRoomConnecting, Times 2.
( Granted, our Reserv. were made 6 months out. )

What a magical family gathering this must have been! Thanks for choosing to celebrate it with us! The Cast Members at the Front Desk do everything they can to accommodate each and every request and I'm delighted to see they did just that.

Whether you're spending lazy days around the Resort or hopping on the monorail for some fun in the Parks, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is where it's at. Next time be sure to spend a morning at Kona Cafe for breakfast; I hear the Loco Moco is amazing! Aloha oe!

I am fifty years old and visited Disney world for the first time in my life! I chose to stay at the Polynesian Resort due to its atmosphere! I wanted the Hawaiian theme and this resort was perfect. We stayed in the VIP Vice presidential suite. My husband wanted this to be a over the top experience and it truly was. Lots of food, fun and beautiful accommodations and atmosphere! I would definitely visit and stay here again! My son said he would like to return to just stay at the resort and not go to the parks! The Polynesian Resort made my first time experience a truly memorable one. It was remarkably magical!

Wow, what an extravagant first visit! Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is my number one pick, so I’m thrilled to know you were so impressed from top to bottom. With such an exciting room to boot, I can’t fault your son for wanting to return for a Resort-only stay!

I am overjoyed to know your experience was too magical for words. I hope your family will return to our slice of the South Pacific again!
