“Loved it!”

Absolutletly loved it!! My kids loved the volcano waterslide. We had a character breakfast in the Ohana & the food was good. Pretty pricey, but worth the memory. My kids got a kick how the maid service made bunny toothbrush holders out of wash cloths. Room nice & roomy. My only complaint is for such an expensive room, it would have been nice if coffee maker, fridge & microwave automatically came w/ the room. We paid a little more for a dorm fridge & we did request & get a coffee pot. ( I made these requests w/ my reservation. ) Would have loved a microwave tho!

We stayed at the Polynesian in the Fiji Bldg Room 3606 in November 2003. We had a wonderful room with a fantastic view. Since we had a garden view room we could not see Cinderella Castle but... the beach was right outside our door and we had an excellent view of the fireworks and Electrical Water Pagent within footsteps. The location was nice and we would request that building again. My son loved watching the monorail from our balcony. The food was really good too.
We loved O'hana and the Kona Cafe. The zero-depth volcano pool was also a big hit with my son. We are planning a return trip in February 2005.

We stayed elsewhere (Coronado Springs) but ate at the Kona Cafe & hung out on the little beach for the fireworks, in which the sandcastle-building children took no interest. The Polynesian was the only place in the "World" that had a remotely cool, low-key vibe. I hope they never update its retro 70s charm. It will take you back to your childhood, particularly if you grew up in a tiki bar.
