I went here with my 6 year old daughter, 11 year old son and my 44 year old husband. it was really good resort for my kids' first time. my daughter loved the pool, it had lots of slides and stuff for kids. one thing we didn't like was, it was very repetitive and my daughter got lost. but by her opinion the maid was very nice to her. she took her in a hotel room and put on tree house and she asked her what hotel room we were in and she called us. the break-fests were very good but a little bit pricey, the pool was nice, very kid-approved. i would definitely go back.

I recently stayed here with my family for a field hockey tournament. We were hesitant because of so many negative reviews, but chose to stay here anyway to be with teammates. From the moment I stepped off the bus, I realized the placid and pleasant atmosphere. Employees were friendly, patient, and very eager to assist us. From the lobby, we had the option of walking to or being driven to our room at the opposite end of the resort, in the Trinidad South section. My family chose to walk after traveling all day and despite the distance, we enjoyed the walk. From one end of the resort to the other, traveling longways, it was a 15 minute walk along a shore. The view was beautiful and the overall theme of the exterior resort really portrayed the Caribbean beach aesthetic without being tacky like some Disney themes.

When we got to our room, it was clean and fresh (we anticipated nothing of the sort after some reviews). The pirate theme was slightly stronger than the exterior theme, but it was part of the Disney experience. The room itself wasn't very large, but for two adults and one teenager, it was plenty of space to be comfortable for a week's stay.

The food-court style restaurant was centrally located and was a five minute walk, although a shuttle is provided. The food was expensive but not unreasonably so. It was substantial and delicious with plenty of variety.

One of the perks of staying in a Disney resort like Caribbean Beach was the provided transportation. There were multiple bus stops throughout the resort and buses ran all day to all parks, including Downtown Disney. It was incredibly convenient that allowed u to not have to rent a car.

Overall, this was a very nice resort that certainly exceeded expectations. Either previous reviews were overly critical or Caribbean Beach has made necessary and positive improvements. I would recommend this resort to anyone who would prefer a more natural and peacefully pleasant aesthetic instead of a stronger themed and more tacky Disney resort. It served as a fantastic home base for a great vacation!

This trip to Orlando included a stay at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Love the theme of this property, it's location and of course the beach complete with sand and hammocks. It's spacious but not too big and the rooms are comfortable. Lots of pools on property. Getting to the parks is so easy on the buses. I would stay at this resort again.

Room Tip: If you ask for a water view room be sure you get one.

We come down to WDW once a year and we have been trying all the moderate resorts on property and this was one of our last to try. We did a week during the first week of February and the weather was great, the grounds at the resort were nice, check in was easy, and the store/food court was great.

We stayed in Jamaica which was a decent location for getting around to everything but the room itself was less than desirable. Not very clean and the maid service the following days was pretty bad. We ordered a pizza one night and finished it off, put the box in our recycling bin in the room and the next day went out to the parks. When we got back from the park, we found the pizza box sitting outside our room on the landing. Figuring they would come back through and grab it we left it out there. The box sat outside of our room for two days before being picked up and disposed of.

The beds were ok for comfort and you can view the fireworks from Epcot each night from the docks near the pool. Being so close to Epcot though and seeing/hearing the fireworks, this can be a pain every night at 9pm when trying to get the kid down for sleep and it sounds like a warzone outside with all the fireworks going off. We also should have looked at area activities as the resort was overrun during the week with a bunch of unsupervised HS Cheerleaders who were running around the resort and pretty disrespectful towards other guests there. Apparently they dont realize how they represent their local communities and schools in these competitions and failed to realize how bad they make their hometowns look.

The food choices on the resort were great and pretty standard along with the other Disney Resorts we have been to. The grounds were nice to walk and relaxing and the parking was good. Bus service was decent but not the greatest compared to the other moderates. Good selection of pools and the main pool and slides were great.

Having previously stayed at the Port Orleans resorts and Coronado Springs, I would go back to any of those over coming back here.

This is a Disney resort, not a real resort. We did 3 nights here, and while the convenience of the bus to Disney is nice, it's honestly not worth the money. The food court got me sick one night, and the local village pool was tiny compared to the big pool, which was always crowded. The room itself was small and musty, and we had problems with our AC unit the entire time. The thermostat didn't work, and the wall unit could only be controlled by manual turning of the controls. In addition, our refrigerator was struggling, and there were signs saying both the AC unit and refrigerator were iffy. Not exactly what you want when you pay that much.

Overall, it's not even the quality of a Hampton Inn in terms of the rooms, so spend your money somewhere else.

Based upon some earlier reviews, I was expecting the worst. Instead, our room was clean and well-appointed, though certainly not large. We were placed in Trinidad South, which is as far away from meals and activities as possible, but the resort never felt crowded and the surroundings were relaxing. On good weather days, I actually enjoyed the ten minute walk to breakfast. Dining options are varied, but be prepared to pay extra for everything.

We used Disney transportation for the whole vacation, and aside from a few long waits for buses, we were satisfied with the convenience of not having to fight traffic and parking problems.

Room Tip: Trinidad South seems to be newer, or at least newly renovated, but it's further away from everyt...

We have always enjoyed staying on property when visiting Disney. This was our second time, and as usual the staff was very helpful and worked to ensure we had a Disney Time! We were at Disney for the Marathon, and the event was well organized, and transportation for the event was as advertised. Our room was clean with easy access, with great amenities, and lots of activities to be involved in. The onsite restaurant was a wonderful experience with some of the food on the menu prepared with a Caribbean flare. We will stay here again with no hesitation.
