From what i read here on tripadvisor i was a little scared of this place, but it was a nice stay. The room was very clean, except the sheets on the bed smelled bad- i'm not sure if they were changed. They didn't give us extra shampoo and soap like we expected on the second day, and housekeeping also didn't put our iron away for us after servicing the room. Other than these minor details the place was good overall. The food at the food court was less expensive than i expected it to be- $6.00 for a waffle shaped like mickey mouse's head(sausage included), $12.00 for a refillable mug, and $2.45 for oatmeal w/ brownsugar. The grounds were beautiful, and you could see the fireworks at epcot from here. The bell men outside were really fast to get the luggage and polite(service with a smile), and all of the employees i encountered were nice and had really good attitudes.

My family (myself, husband and 9-year old daughter) traveled to Orlando during Labor Day week. Our stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort was wonderful! We stayed in the Aruba cluster of rooms and couldn't have been happier with the room. It was very clean, comfortable and cheery.
Our walk to the food court was not a very long one and I found it very pleasant to take the stroll there several times a day. The food was good and within the price range I expected. One night we went to the Shutters Restaurant where the food was excellent and the service outstanding. Transporation to and from the parks was very good. The overall staff and service I would say was excellent.

We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort from Nov. 8-16, 2003. We found the resort immaculately clean, the rooms very nicely decorated and the service to be just fine. The setting is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the parks--very non-commercial and out of the way. A nice respite at the end of the day.The food court was great for kids and very handy for breakfast or a quick dinner at the end of the day.We enjoyed the boat and bike rentals on the premises as well as the main pool and the pool in our particular village. Do be aware of wha building you are put in, because this is a sprawling resort and you cannot be afraid of walking.Buses were generally good and timely. Only had to wait long once during the entire week we were there. We did Epcot for 2 days, Magic Kingdom for 2 days, 1 day at MGM and 1 day at Typhoon Lagoon and 1 day to relax at the resort. We had a great time and would definitely go back!

Stayed from November 9 until November 16. For a Disney Resort you expected a level of serivice comparable to what is advertised in the Disney video however this is certainly not the case at this hotel. The staff all behave as if your presence at the hotel is an inconvenience to them, and we stayed there during low season. No one ever smiles.
Check in took over 1/2 hr after I was at the wicket. A mistake was made and it took another 1/2 hr the next morning to fix a very minor issue.
No coffee/cups replaced in rooms, unclean bathroom. Saw the internal shuttle only once. A very far walk from our 'island' to the restaurant.
The staff seemed poorly trained. Spoke to the Manager, he wasn't much better.

Check in started off rough.... as we were given rooms at the other end of the resort were a shuttle is needed to get to the food court/gift shop being 6 mo pregant w/ 2 kids it makes it hard. Although after some negotiating we did get rooms closer however, the couple we were put in a room which smelled horriably of MOLD. The staff was polite and the food was okay and open late for those late night cravings. The biggest down fall with this resort is the location of some rooms.

We stayed at Carribean Beach Resort for a week during the beginning of November. The check in wait can be long, depending on your time of arrival. However, they have a TV and hostess to entertain your kids while you are in line. We arrived at 11:00 a.m. and only had one person ahead of us in line, so apparently early is better. We requested the Martinique section, since this is the closest to Old Port Royale with the theme pool and food court. Since Martinique is the most popular, we could not get into our room until 3:00 p.m. However, I was prepared for this and had packed bathing suits and shorts in a backpack. We checked our luggage and headed off to the pool area to change, eat, and relax.
Our room was ready promptly at 3:00 p.m. as promised. Buses to the various parks arrived at our bus stop every few minutes. None of them were crowded except for park closing times, which is to be expected.
Most of our bus waits were 5-10 minutes, the longest we waited was 20 minutes. We never had more than a 20 minute ride to a park. Food in Old Port Royale was good--not "5 star" but offered a nice variety and convenience. Prices were consistent with the rest of Disney--not cheap--but who would expect it to be? Staff was always polite and helpful. Grounds were neat and very pretty. I'd recommend the resort.
To those who have written negative reviews, get real! Disney is an expensive vacation! Be prepared for it. With a little preparation and a positive attitude (and a few good manners) you'll have a great time!

lets start by saying that the price per night was about $133. We wanted to stay in the park to closer to the attractions and not waste precious vacation time trying to get in and out of the resort. That was our first mistake...shuttle busses were slow and overcrowded. Several people complained that they had to wait over an hour for a bus. We took a bus one night...it took almost an hour to get to epcot from the time we reached the bus stop....thats unacceptable! There are way too many people staying here for the amount of buses. My second biggest complant was the food court. How many people like eatting pre-made food from 7-11? Okay...maybe it wasn't quite that bad...but you get the idea...only one sit down restaurant that opens only for dinner. Now i have heard that this resort has over 4,000 rooms....i guess the guests don't want to eat????? Okay...the rooms and facilites....i compare this resort to a nice motel 6 or holiday inn...not what i would expect from a disney property.
