“Beautiful Disney Resort”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

This was our first stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort after two recent stays at the Wilderness Lodge. We booked a preferred room and were placed in Trinidad North which was very close to the main pool & Old Port Royale where the food court is located. The room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. The resort is large and spread out. The food court area can be crowded at peak times. The grounds of the resort were beautiful. It was very quiet & relaxing. Bus service was speedy with minimal wait times. I would recommend this resort, but definitely request a preferred room unless you like to walk great distances to the main pool & food court.

Room Tip: Rooms in Martinique & Trinidad North are closest to the main pool and food court area.

My Mom, Dad, Wife and I all went to Disney/Universal and we stayed at the Caribbean Beach with the pirate beds. We ended up staying at Trinidad South which is the last stop for buses, which also meant we had to walk about 10 minutes to get to the main building where the dining hall, arcade, and gift shops were. The room had a barrel and when you opened up the barrel there was a fridge. the curtain to block the bathroom had the Jolly Roger from Pirates of the Caribbean on it, and there was an etching of the Flying Dutchmen in the shower, and the beds were very comfy. When my wife and I (Mom and Dad in one room, wife and I in another) stepped in, the first thing we noticed was the carpet was wet. We called down to the service desk, and they said it had just been shampooed. We could live with that, and these next few items are what keeps me from giving it the highest score. When my wife went to take a shower she screamed for me, now I was thinking it was lizard or something, and no it wasn't. It was someone else's hair in the shower, when we she went to dry her hair, she found someone else's hair stuck (four strands) in the dryer. That's when we looked at the shower closely and realized the shampoo and conditioner bottles were half empty and left there. We also put up a Do Not Disturb sign while we were gone and the maids came in anyway to clean. The best part of this was when I went back to the room, and was told by mom and dad that they changed the locks while were gone to Universal.
It's a very nice place to stay, but do look around your room, before you do.

We requested a king, 2nd floor, water view room as the Disney web advertised. We were given a 1st floor, king, parking lot view at the back of the property. They told us at checkin that there were only about two of the water view king rooms on the property. The room was ok, but thought I was paying more for a better room. We have stayed in a queen water view before and that room was better than the king suite. We stayed in the Aruba section of the resort and this was fine. Not a real long walk to the dining facilities.

We stayed at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort at the end of October and had a great time! Check In was easy. The room was clean and ready by noonand I received a ground floor room as I requested. I did find the bathroom and full beds to be a little small. The room safe was also tiny.

We paid to stay in the preferred section to be close to the food and main pool and it was worth it. With two small kids we did not want to have to walk too far.

We loved the pool and kiddie play area. We went swimming almost everyday even though a few days it was chilly. The food court had plenty of options and we ate there quite a few times.

We did not wait long for any of the buses and I only had to stand once.

Overall, this was a nice resort for the price. I definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: I recommend a Preferred Room location. It is worth the additional price

we go to disney every couple years and like to try different places ~ This year we picked Caribbean Beach . 3 of our drawers on the dresser were broke , Beds were so hard and the room had a "musty" smell to it . I left a peice of paper on the floor ON PURPOSE and it stayed there for 4 days out of our 10 day visit . We were suppose to have ajoining rooms with another person and we were put in different spots ( and our ajoining room was empty ) Transportation to the parks from here was easy and the scenery was pretty but I wouldn't pick this again I'd pick other dates if this was the only thing available

Went here a few weeks ago and it is beautiful. You could spend a day here relaxing in any of the many pools, setting out on the beach or laying in one the hammocks. The grounds are very well kept and rooms very clean. Disney movies were played nightly for the children to enjoy with a good amount of seating. Surprisingly, the small sports bar in between the main pool and nightly movies was not loud at all and dad's can watch "The game" while the kids are playing. Everyone was very nice and went out of the way to make sure we had all we needed. We will be back.

Room Tip: Ground floor near the pool or water area. Also research the map online and get close to the mall ar...
