I stayed here while attending a conference but am familiar with the Disney area.

The hotel is located just across the street from the Downtown Disney area. There is a walkway to the street and a short walk from there to the main area but most people will probably drive. The rest of the Disney area is accessible by driving or via the Disney bus system which stop at Downtown Disney all day long.

The hotel used AT&T for internet and this was included in a resort fee. I did have problems connecting one evening and called the 800 number and they weren't able to resolve it but said it should be working by morning. It wasn't working in the morning but another call got a quick result.

The hotel was built in the 1980's and did show a bit of wear. In my room, the entry door did not close on its own. I happened to be riding in the elevator with a security guard and mentioned it and he said it common. There was more than one occasion when I had been in the room awhile before realizing that it was still open. The sliding door to the balcony took a lot of effort to open/close.

The area is convenient to both Disney and a number of restaurants and shops in addition to Downtown Disney although at over a mile, further than most people will want to walk.

The hotel has a pools, game room and even a Disney store.

Room Tip: The hotel is a 27 story block with most rooms offering some form of view. Higher rooms will offer v...

We stayed one night, and the appearance of the hotel looks very nice and the staff was very friendly, that being said, the odor of 2 different rooms was horrible. I called registration after getting in the first room and explained that there was a terrible musty odor in the room and asked if all the rooms were like that, she said "no" and gave us another room with a great location to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks, but that room also had an odor. We did notice black mold in the bathroom and the closet, and assumed that's what we were smelling. It is VERY close to Downtown Disney (walking distance), the only negative thing I have to say is the odor, everything else was satisfactory, but I would not stay here again, because of the smell.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Magic Kingdom fireworks & hope you get one that doesn't smell!

On a last minute decision to drive down to Orlando for a few days with my son, we searched on our Iphone for a hotel room. I have been to the WDW area alot, but it's been a long time. We took a chance on a hotel I knew had been there a long time in hopes that it had either held up well or had been redone. We were very pleased with the price (was a little suprised by the daily fee, but I should have expected it) and the condition of the hotel. On arrival they upgraded us to a room where we could see the Epcot fireworks, gave us a welcome bottle of wine with two nice plastic glasses and a $75 coupon for one of their restaurants. The room was very clean and the linens were quite good. It had a large flat screen TV and the bathroom (while not large) was good. We drank at the sports bar several times and watched the games. We also ate at there upscale restaurant and used the coupon. The food and service were very good. One day we hung out at the pool and watched a few college games on the TV's in the pool bar. I thought the pools were very nice too. It was also close enough to Downtown Disney for a short walk. We also used the complementary bus to EPCOT which was on time and saved us the agrivation of driving and paying to park. I did find the prices of drinks at the pool bar and the sports bar to be high, but we were at Disney and most everything is expensive. We would visit again.

Hotel is very nice with fabulous updates in the room. Spacious and clean with incredible updated bathroom but no tub only glass enclosed shower so it will be a challenge for families with small kids. My room was in the front tower with a view of Epcot for the fireworks which was nice but I wasn't high enough to fully enjoy it. They had a couple incredible pools but when I was there it was rainy. They have an exploration path around the hotel complex for kids to enjoy with map and at each stopping point a small trinket reward (colored rubber bracelet) all along the way. Incredibly close to downtown Disney (right across the street) as you could walk but they also have a shuttle that will take you to Downtown Disney or any Disney park or resort you choose. Just plan on riding for a while as other than Downtown Disney not everything is close in proximity. There is a resort charge for this facility and I didn't use the spa and the restaurant was convenient with good food but pricey.

Room Tip: Ask for a room high up with a view for the fireworks show at Epcot.

Visited with the family from October 4-6 for Mickey's Not So Spooky Halloween. Paid extra for the "Disney View", we got room 2440. The view was nice from the day but, we never got to see the fireworks at night, though I'm sure it was breathtaking.

The hotel was ok. Room was decent, and staff was nice. The arcade was pretty big and the kids enjoyed it a lot.

We had dinner at Avu Avu and the meal was good. My husband and I had 1 drink each, the kids ate from the kids menu, we ordered 2 appetizers along with the meals and shared 1 dessert. The bill came up to $140 without gratuity. So it's not so cheap on a family budget but ok priced for the meal.

The MAJOR down side was that the pool and Jacuzzi were SUPPPPER COLD (yes, we're from South Florida) but even so, the hotel advertises "heated" pools. We searched everywhere for the Jacuzzi temperature control but all we found was a button to start the jets.

The Shuttle Bus "B" stunk like arm pits! We even saw baby roaches one ride! But, yes, the bus and parking is free.

We didn't do the Character breakfast because it's at the "Grill" by the pool and the place looked raunchy for $20 adults and $15 kids (buffet).

I got the room for a pretty good deal $107/night but to add $22 "hotel amenities" and not even have a HOT Jacuzzi was too steep.

We are more than likely gonna be passing up this hotel next time. With our new Season Passes for Disney, I'm sure we'll find a better deal.

To summarize, if you can pass this one up; unless you get a REALLY GOOD DEAL. Oh, and if you're from South Florida bring your neoprene suit for the pool!

We stayed here for one night whilst visiting down town Disney. We were not blessed with good weather that afternoon so once we had checked in we didn't visit the pool. Our room was spacious and clean and the bed was out of this world comfy. I don't think I would choose to stay there for a full 2 weeks as the daily resort fee would quickly add up but if you're only doing a couple of nights it's fine. The staff we experienced were really friendly and helpful and you can walk across the road to downtown disney although we opted to drive because it was raining.

The good: it's walking location to Downtown Disney.

The bad: Beds are very uncomfortable.
Disney buses to other parks are slow and irregular, supposedly every 30 minutes, but we waited over an hour and ended up taking a cab.
Wifi is sporadic, in our room on the 11th floor I could not get wireless signal on the ipads or iphones. Only my laptop and it cut out quite a bit. Wifi on the lower floors worked fine.
