Whether traveling with family for a trip to the theme parks, attending a conference at the Convention Center in the International Drive area, or retreating for a couple's weekend, you can't go wrong with the Villas. Surf for value, though, as we recently found one that waived daily resort fees and included free wi-fi, bicycles, and lovely presented (& yummy) breakfasts at the club house. Our villa was on Hole 1 of the well-manicured golf course. The bathroom included a large whirlpool bathtub in addition to the shower and the resort features high-end amenities. Our king-sized bed was several steps above the sitting area and overlooked the private patio and golf course through French Doors. The service is superb and the staff most friendly. Our deal was competitive with inferior hotels, so choosing this tranquil escape over the noise and bustle of the more populated areas was a no-brainer.

Room Tip: If you want total privacy, request a room on the water, but all rooms are lovely and quiet.

I just got back from a quick trip to the Villas for a fantasy football draft party and golf. Man, is it a great place to do that. If we can find the same deal, a lot of the guys are talking about bringing their families after the draft to hang out here for a couple days. The courses are nice, Florida resort style courses, the villas are absolutely huge. Plenty big enough for our draft and cookout afterwards. The staff helped a couple times, once we we needed more beds and another when the roof was leaking after a pretty hard rain. The patio out back was awesome. Only two suggestions for improvement, we had asked about a grill before I booked, and they said we could get one, but didn't mention it was 25 bucks. No big deal, but I'd guess no one likes seeing extra charges they aren't expecting. Other thing was the course was aerofied and pretty bumpy. They said the "new" course was, and suggested we play the north and south, but they had been as well about a week prior. Just like to know up front. But overall, this is a great place, with lots of room and very pleasant staff. We'll hopefully stay here any time were in ORL.

The focus of our holiday was Disney, Universal Studios, etc...

The villas are located in the golf course, so the views are beautiful. We stayed for one week in a one bedroom villa, which was fully equipped with kitchen, dining room, living room, dish washing machine, washing machine, dryer, two plasma TV, Wi Fi and bathroom with jacuzzi. All rooms were large considering the usual size of hotel, specially for bathrooms. The kitchen had a electric stove, dishes, glasses, big fridge, etc... It was really prepared to receive a family for that long. The hotel has, beside golf academy, bussiness center and spa, pool with warm water with two jaccuzzis, fishing rods and bait and bicycles. They have a venture with the Hyatt which is located 10 min away by car. There you also have car rental, more restaurants, kids club, more pools, Starbucks and tennis courses.

The villas has a shuttle to the Hyatt that you ask by phone and they pick you up in your door. Hyatt has a shuttle service to main parks, coming and going, in specific hours. Magic Kindom is the nearest park as well as Dianey downtown and nex to the Hyatt there is a gas station and several restaurants. Wal Mart and Walgreens are 15 away by car.

Definitely we will come back, it was the perfect choice for our family. We supply all the groceries and could have breakfast in the villa as well as snacks. We could wash some clothes and housekeeping is great. We left dishwashers running and when we came back everything was already stored and tabs were always available.

We ate once in nine 18 - main restaurant of the golf course - and food was ok, although not marvelous despite the service which can be improved a lot. We ask room service once as well and food was better and service ok. Since we were in the parks, we did not ate a lot there.

The staff was always nice, despite some minor incidents in our arrival, which were solved after one calls but service attitude was not optimal. After that, we received follow up calls and apologies.

We have stayed in other Disney hotels and by far we would choose this one again. You can save a lot of money by having kitchen and dining room available. The living room has a sofa that turns into a comfortable bed.

We flew and did not rent a car all days.

What can be improved?. Despite being a resort hosting many families, they do not have kids menu. They have to eat ( and pay) as adults even if they eat a portion. Shuttle is very convenient but limited. They have only one bus tahat makes a route with other parks or hotel. So if you go to Uiversal the will take first to Sea World so will arrive 1 hour later. If you come back from Sea World you will visit other hotel first in a crowded bus during 75 minutes. If you want to stay to watch night parades or fireworks, no chance, last return is at 8 pm. What we did was use the shuttle in the mornings and take a taxi to come back a couple of times. Most parks are located in a range of 25 usd per trip.

By car most park are in a range of 15 minutes, you have plenty of options to eat, the villa is large, very well equipped, with a lot of amenities and beautiful landscape. airport is 30 minutes away. Shopping mall 15 minutes away by car.

Yes, we recommend it.

Room Tip: From the villas in cluster 4 and 5 it is possible to watch Magic Kingdom fireworks at night.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. We are pleased to read that our location was convenient for your needs. As you mentioned, our property is right next door to the bustle and excitement of Disney and International Drive, but is itself a peaceful and relaxing hideaway to which our guests can return each day and rest, ordering drinks by our private pool, or enjoying a quiet dinner at our fine dining restaurant, Nine18. We continually seek to provide our guests with a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We look forward to welcoming you back to the resort on your next trip to Orlando!

I visited the Villas of Grand Cypress during a site visit to potentially bring a large group for a convention. The property is just miles from the Disney parks, but feels like a different world. The grounds are absolutely spectacular and each room is a suite and has a patio that overlooks the golf course. I had lunch at the Clubhouse and it was the best club salad I have ever had. The service was superb and the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and important. The property is clean and kept up. I would highly recommend this property for business or leisure. Although I am not a golfer, from what I have heard and read, this course is not to be missed if you are a serious golfer!

The 1 bedroom suite is amazing, and the property is beautiful. We had a small family get together, and everyone is still talking about the property. Do not pass this up. Fishing, boating, 3 hole golf, putt putt, and transfers to all Attractions included.

Room Tip: Stay in Court 1,2 or 5
