We spent two nights and played 3 rounds of golf with 7 other couples. The golf courses were in great shape and were very playable. The villas were very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. We plan on going back next year.

Room Tip: It's easy to find, but Mapquest had bad directions to get there.

I alerted the Hotel of out late arrival and the person at the front desk handed us a key to the Suite and a schedule for the Shuttle. We found out that their Shuttle only runs between the Villas of Grand Cypress and the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. From the Hyatt you have to take another shuttle to go to Disney. We ask when we would have to take the shuttle to make it in time for Epcot and he said, anytime, it runs all the time. We arrived so late and didn’t study the schedule, relying on the information received. We ended up at the Hyatt 5 minutes after their last (10AM) shuttle had just left and we ended up having to take a cab. We complained to the Hotel and did get the $20 cab ride reimbursed. Coming back was the same problem, shuttle to the Hyatt, another shuttle to the Villas. The shuttle situation was terrible; definitely don’t stay there unless you have a car.

I would definitely not rate this as a 4-Star hotel. It is somewhat dated and definitely needs some TLC. You are so far removed from everything and they don’t even put a bottle of water in the rooms, no refrigerator and the newspaper was delivered once in 3 days.

This was quite frankly the worst experience I have had in a Hotel and I would not recommend it to anyone. Transportation was an ordeal during our entire stay.

Stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, for the same price you will have a much better experience and the people there were very nice and informative. Unfortunately we had booked the Hotel through Expedia’s special price deal, so it was pre-paid and we were stuck.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with a review from your recent stay. We apologize for any inconveniences that you experienced with our transportation to Disney. We share the resort with the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, and use their building as the pick up and drop off location for the theme park transportation. To minimize any inconveniences, our resort shuttle runs 24 hours a day between the Villas and the Hyatt. We have contacted this guest privately in regards to discussing and further rectifying any issues that were experienced.

In July/August we had our 2nd stay at the Villas, hoping that it would be as good as the first time. It wasn't - it was better. We decided this time to just spend 2 weeks in Orlando rather than our last trip of 8/9 days in Orlando followed by a week relaxing by the coast. This proved to be a great choice as the Villas/the hotel have a lot to offer for adults and kids.

We booked a 2 bed villa, specifying the same one as we had last time if possible. We were given a different one which proved to be much better as it was all on the ground floor with no-one above so nice and quiet. The villa was very clean and I was a little worried beforehand that the Villas may look tired but they weren't and the gardens and golf course remained perfectly manicured. Decor is american in style but generally light and airy and has plenty of space for clothes (and all the purchases).

The kitchens are well stocked with utensils so cooking (we tended to have breakfast and some evening meals there) was fairly easy. The cleaning staff were excellent.

The villas have their own pool with jacuzzi, bikes and a bar which served food. The pool was never busy but we tended to go to the hotel pool for its facilities (see below).

We ate one breakfast at the Golf clubhouse which we really enjoyed but was a bit too big for us so we generally then ate in the villa.

We mixed our trip up with parks and down-days where we'd relax and we tended to go to the hotel pool which is large and has a slide. The resort fee includes the use of boats, a climbing wall, a pitch and putt golf course, tennis courts, (not sure about the driving range), table tennis - plenty to do. This kept our boys busy and made for a relaxing time by the pool where the service of food/drinks was great. There is also a games room which the boys enjoyed, plus a gym which we didn't quite get round to using. There is a hotel shuttle bus which can be used to get around but we tended to drive.

The hotel pool got very busy at the weekend and it was difficult to secure an umbrella but there is some shade from trees.

We didn't eat in any of the restaurants at the hotel or by the Villas as we tended to eat a larger lunch when in the parks and sometimes out for dinner.

The location of the Villas are excellent, being just outside Disney and near to the I4 (although it was just as easy to travel parallel to the I4 to get to, e.g. Universal). One of the outlet malls is very close, just the other side of the I4 so we also went there a few times, plus a trip to Florida Mall to get the kids next year Abercrombie and Hollister. There is a good selection of restaurants within a short drive of the Villas (a bit too far to walk).

If we were to return to Orlando then we would definitely consider staying at the Villas again, especially if we were to return to the Disney parks.

Room Tip: The Villas on the left hand side as you drive in have views over a lake and the golf course, rather than just the golf course.

My husband and I took a weekend trip in August for our 20th Anniversary and we were treated with kindness and respect. The Villa felt like a home away from home with all the amenities. Room service and cleanliness were key when searching for our weekend getaway and this is exactly what we found. The food was excellent; the attitudes of ALL the employees were pleasant and accommodating. We could even see the fireworks from our Villa, the entire weekend was magical. I could go on and on about how wonderful this way, but let's just say...we can't wait to go back!

We spent 9 days at the Villas in a 2 bedroom Villa with our 2 children. The villas are great size and well proportioned. Service is very good and the villas are kept very well. The whole resort is kept perfectly manicured and breakfast in the club house is good too.
Is so close to Downtown Disney and the Disney Parks (you can hear the Epcot fireworks at 9pm and Magic Kingdom ones at 10pm) without there being any trace of Mickey Mouse which for us was great.
Our only grumble on this trip was that the pool was closed for re-furbishment and we didn't find out about that until check-in. The Villas though are part of the local Hyatt hotel and we could go use their pool which is fantastic with water slides etc so only a minor grumble.
Be sure to stay here again if we go back to Orlando.

Room Tip: The 2 bedroom villas are great.

Thank you for providing us with a review from your stay with us in August. We are very pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay with us, despite the maintenance that was being done on our pool. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you or any of our guests, but as you noted we worked very hard to provide additional shuttle service to the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress and their pool facility to minimize the inconvenience. We are pleased to say that our pool opened just in time for our poolside Labor Day cook out. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back to the resort on your next trip to Orlando.
