We stayed here after returning from our vacation from Antigua. I used BookIt to secure and paid in advance for a king room. We arrived around midnight, after spending a week in a crappy resort, delay of 2 hours in Miami. Anyway, upon check in advised there is an $8 per night parking fee. The only info I had read was $14 for valet parking. The lay out was motel style with plenty of parking even at 1230am. I was given a double room. I complained and was relocated to a King room as I had booked.
At check out was charged 17.04 for my 2 nights parking. This is free money to the resort. I was also, concerned about the International Plaza sign being on a banner and draped over the main sign, like they just bought the place.

Rooms were very nice and bed sooooooo comfortable.

My fiance and I stayed at the Int. Plaza Resort and I must say the grounds are gorgeous. Our room was very clean, the bathroom area was also very organized. Housekeeping made sure we had clean towels and soap EVERYDAY. The hotel has 3 pools that you can enjoy and of course WE DID!!!!!We paid a very decent price and honestly I was very pleased with our stay. Now....service is another story. Front desk was helpful, not so nice but w.e!!! We were helped by Jozefa who handles attraction tickets, she was marvelous and gave us many ideas to make our vacation FUNNER as well as coupons. The girls who worked in the restaurants were very rude, a simple question was answered with straight up attitude. We were given the wrong shuttle schedules which I dont know how that was possible....nobody really got up and helped us to their fullest. I'm going to call that lazinesssssss!!
Other than that....we loved our stay & are looking foward to another visit.

P.S: This hotel is kinda far from civilization so0..transportation is a MUST!!!!

If you are happy to pay for a 4* hotel but only receive 2* service then book The international plaza resort & spa.

The hotel is lovely with superb facilities but the service leaves a lot to be desired.

We recently stayed in garden rooms in block 10. The room was lovely with two double beds, fridge, coffee machine and microwave. This was apparently an upgrade, but from what, we were unsure. I believe that the hotel tower rooms did not have a fridge and microwave. The bathroom was very small and should really be named as shower room as all it contains is the toilet and a shower. The sink/vanity area was in the bedroom.

We had to constantly ring the chamber maid everyday to ask for sugar, milk or coffee as this was never replaced. Some times it would take up to an hour to arrive. The toiletries were also not replaced once used. The room was attended to daily, but the only thing that was done was that the beds were made and fresh towels were put in the room. The floor was never swept and the sides were never wiped down in two weeks. We left towels behind the bathroom door on the hook to dry. These towels were not taken away unless we put them on the floor. At one point we had 10 towels hanging up and could barely open the bathroom door. We did not put them on the floor as we were trying to save on washing as it asked us to do in the hotel guide, but fresh towels kept appearing anyway.

One night part of the bed collapsed and fell on our heads whilst we were sleeping. When we reported this to reception they were very quick in having someone come to the room and take pictures, make a report and fix the problem. They said they would contact us within 2 days to say how the matter would be resolved. Once they realised that we were uninjured they attempted to sweep the incident under the carpet We had to chase this matter up 3 times, eventually demanding to speak to the manager, who still did not deal with the incident to our satisfaction.

Our friends in the room next to us had both cockroaches and ants in the room during their stay. Their toilet frequently blocked, the cleaner never unblocked the toilet but shut the lid, hoping it would go away.

The rooms where we stayed were very quiet despite how busy they were. It seemed that everyone had been booked into the same area of the hotel, as at night there were no parking spaces. We parked along side a curb one night as all the spaces were full, we were not blocking anyone in or causing any obstruction, however we were issued with a tow away warning.

This hotel has recently been upgraded from a 3* to a 4*, however I think someone forgot to tell the staff.

upon arriving we liked what we saw, until I took a closer look at our room. Hair in our sheets and pillow, belongings from the previous stay were still in the room. And then came the bathroom, a used soap in the shower, hair in the tub and floor and the bathtub was nasty (might be the reason they do not show any pictures of the bathrooms), so bad that we dedided NOT to take a shower the next morning!! I talk to a manager that night who assure me that the room would be credited back to my account (still waiting!!), the room was clean that night (not the tub). the next morning I tried to talk to a manger who was "too busy" to come out of his office. We ended up at a Disney Resort that night and took a shower.

When we first pulled up to the hotel I noticed the motel style layout, and was a little worried. However, when we got to our room and I saw how lovely it was, I instantly relaxed. The rooms have all been renovated to a high standard, they are clean and spacious. The grounds of the hotel are also very nice. We had a choice of three swimming pools, which all had clean towels for guests to use on the loungers. My husband was impressed by the small gym, and made use of it most days. We didn't eat in the restaurants, but were able to get pizza, sandwiches, fruit etc. in the little shop on site when we decided to spend a day by the pool. The hotel is in a convenient location, with a side gate taking you into the Sea World car park. We hired a car, which I would definitely recommend, but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel for park transfers. We had a great stay at the International Plaza and were extremely pleased with our choice.

I booked the hotel on the internet for a one night stay on our return from the Gulf Coast at the end of a two centre trip. Check in time was stated as 3pm so we arrived at that time. However because the hotel was full the previous night our rooms would not be ready for an hour! Returned to the desk an hour later to be told that they still weren't ready, went back at 5pm and finally got our keys. We booked pool views but it transpires the hotel allocates rooms on arrival and we got a view of the car park!! Not a problem for one night but might be disappointing if you are staying for longer. The rooms themselves are well equipped and the furniture appears new with flat screen TV's etc, but the bathrooms are small with the washbasin and mirror in the main part of the room. We had the two double bed options with the children and there was still plenaty of room for cases etc. The Pools are lovely, towels clean and jacuzzi roasting!!!!!!!!

However in the morning at 9am we were disturbed by a staff member pearing trough the net curtains before knocking on the door to find out what time we were leaving so they could clean the room. Bit of a cheek as we had waited 2 hours for the room the previous night.

We were given the impression that the hotel was used for a lot of short term stopovers and as such the staff struggled when at capacity. On a more positive note we had the buffet breakfast in the morning and that was very nice and the staff very pleasant.

Therfore,if you are wanting a quick and functional stay in a cheaply priced hotel with a perfect location (especially the pedestrian gate to Seaworld) this hotel is for you.
