“Great value for the price”
Reviewed August 24, 2007

The front desk staff at this hotel is amazingly courteous and nice. The hotel is actually really nice inside..it reminded me of an old Hollywood theme..really cute..I wouldnt say that it is walking distance from Universal, if you were to walk it would probably take over an hour...Unless you are an avid walker you should take a shuttle or drive there..It is however, right across the street from wet n wild..The room was clean and neat with a nice new and quiet air conditioner...The only problems I encountered on my stay was that the water was not draining in the bathtub but we told the front desk and the problem was fixed immediately..The only other problem we had was the water not heating one day..there must have been a problem that afternoon because the water was fine at night..Other than those small things this hotel was really great for the price..plus, if you are ever lost in the area, it is really easy to spot the hotel because of its shape and height..

We recently returned from our stay here, having spent 9 nights here. The hotel is now a Four Points.
Our room was very comfortable and clean. They honored our request for a room with two separate beds. They never mentioned the fact that we were Priceline guests and did not treat us as second-class citizens in any way.

The Good:
* They honored our room request.
* Location
* Comfortable room. Very satisfied.
* Laundry facilities within the hotel.

Two things we did not like:
* High internet charges ($10 or so per day), whereas most hotels today, offer this for free.
* Prior to our arrival, we had asked if we could have packages sent to the hotel. They said that it was fine, but they did not tell us that they charge for them. We received some packages and the fact that they charge for each one was a bit of a surprise.

This Is One Of The Best Hotels I Have Ever Stayed In! The Rooms Were Very Clean And Beds Were Really Comfy! Staff Were Really Friendly. Defenetly Go Back. Great Accomodation As It Is Straight Across The Street From Wet N Wild And You Could Walk To Universal But You Get A Free Shuttle To It. Also You Get A Free Shuttle To Seaworld And Disney. Pool Was Quite Small But Not To Complain.

My husband and I stayed at the Sheraton Studio City Hotel in Orlando a few weeks ago. The hotel is nice but nothing out of the ordinary. Our room was located on the 12th floor and it was nice, the bed was extremely comfortable (probably the best part of our stay). The loby was alright, the staff could use some work on their manners and they don't clue you in on the things you need to know. We booked this hotel to use the free shuttle they offer, the front desk staff doesn't tell you that you will need tickets to ride the bus (even when you inquire about it). Beware of the shuttle, it's an old (very old) bus that has seen better days, but it was free and convenient so I can't complain to much. Other than that the hotel was worth what we paid for it and the location is pretty good, close to outlet shopping and within walking distance of many restraunts and other shops.

  • Liked — Room was pretty nice for the price.
  • Disliked — Front desk staff not to helpful.

The Sheraton Studio City is nothing particularly special, but it was a great deal for the Priceline rate ($50). It is convenient to Orlando attractions - right across the street from Wet n Wild, about a 10 minute drive from Disney World. The hotel staff was very, very friendly and helpful. The concierge went out of her way to get us directions to another hotel where others in our party were staying.

The rooms are relatively comfortable. Average size, average beds, fairly spacious bathroom with lots of counter space, nice and clean. Decent shower.

Again, nothing outstanding about it, but it was an ideal hotel for what we needed - just a clean, comfortable place to stay in Orlando for a great price. I would stay here again.

First, they need to update the online picture to 2007 and stop using night images (always a clue). Yes, it is dated and really needs a facelift but that wasn't really a huge concern as the price was right. However, there is no good price when fire alarms don't seem to work in all the rooms and the staff are a dazed as the patrons wandering the lobby at 7am. Could use a refresher course in customer care as well as, checking rooms for proper alarm reponses.

I would pay the extra money for a more cheerful environment and a place where things are in better order. Also nothing to eat before 9am and the bar... looks nice but was never open on the weekend.
Also, put your do not disturb sign out as after the alarm at 7am house keeping knocked to see if we were leaving at 9am. Geeze great father's day weekend!

I stayed there for a quick trip to Orlando and the theme parks. I wanted a location that was on I drive area and near Universal. So I used one of the online bidding sites and got the room for $41.00 a night. Total for two nights with taxes and fees was $100.00 great deal.

Location, location, location. This place is in a great location if you are doing things on I-Drive or going to Universal. It is not a good location for going to WDW. Easy to find. Across the street is a 7-11 to stock up on beer and snacks. Check in was easy. Lots of free self parking in front of the hotel. The front desk staff was nice and efficient. I asked for a upgraded room with a view and they gave me room 1502. You do have to use your key to get the elevators to work. Our room was right off the elevators. We walked in a BAM musty smell that previous posters complained about. I asked my date if she wanted to switch rooms but she said maybe it will go away. So I turned up the air full blast and sure enough after about 10 minutes the smell was gone. At first I thought we had just gotten use to it but that was not the case as we were in and out of the room over the next 2 days.
The room faced the parks and over looked a big grass lot off of I-4. 2 queen beds which where comfortable with nice liens. TV was basic box TV with about 20 channels and HBO. Bathroom looked like it was update and everything worked fine. Once again this is your basic 3 star Orlando hotel.
The pool is ok. Nothing great. The bar near the pool is small but has a good selection of drinks and draft beer. Called a cab one night and the bellman was nice enough to call one that was waiting in the parking lot. It was one of the black limo type cabs with not meter on it. We went to WDW for a meal and it was $40.00 one way. On the way back we got a regular yellow cab with a meter and it was $35.00.
Overall our stay was great. The hotel provided us with that we need. A good location and a place to sleep.
